Now reading:
The Gulag Archipelago, Part I by Aleksander I. Solzhenitsyn
An absolutely riveting book so far. Although some parts require knowledge of and the U.S.S.R. beforehand.

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?

Re: SLOW Performance Issues: post here to Help
Ok, here's a weird one. So today I boot up Wesnoth 1.6.4, it loads up fine, then I start the campaign Liberty, and then the lag hits. It takes a very long time to scroll through the map, lags between turns, and all round doesn't play well. So then I try different campaigns. Same thing. I try the mul...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?
Matrix Trilogy (absolutely dripping with action and style). LOTR series (books were awesome too). Narnia was ok... Prince Caspian was the better of the two out (read the books too. they are good). Flywheel was pretty good. Never seen Fireproof, heard it was good. Facing The Giants was very good. I w...

BFW compiled for Puppy Linux, anyone?
Just wondering if anyone has done this. I have a laptop that is running Puppy Linux, so it would be great to be able to play Wesnoth on it.

Re: SLOW Performance Issues: post here to Help
Ok then. Actually, the absolute minimum RAM you can have while playing Wesnoth is about 96mb, of which I have in my old laptop (found 32mb of that in my previous laptop I had 3 years ago). It runs fine with 96mb (Except for minor amounts of lag when recruiting units). Or maybe I'm just lucky

System requirements for previous versions
I was wondering if previous versions have different system requirements. For example, if I had the earliest stable version on my computer, would there be a notable difference in speed and performance?
Thanks,

Re: The kind of RPG I would like to see
Wait. So your saying the game would be downloaded from the main website of said game, probably just 100 megs or so, and the main client would be on the developer/s computer/s? Now that could be very possible. And yes, graphics cards, motherboards etc. seem able to run such a game, but I don't think ...

Re: Funny things you did as a beginner
I recall that I played multiplayer right after the tutorial campaign, thinking that real people can't be THAT hard (I've actually done this for every game I've ever played that has multiplayer. guess I'll never learn ).
