I can't get past this stage. After signing up and logging in, the entire website becomes a black screen. When I try re-opening it, it becomes a white screen (not even a title).bonndan wrote: If you sign up, log in and ...

Re: HUGE Maps
Using maps that size would make a conquest of the new world type mod possible, if someone wanted to try stuff like that XD Just because the Wesnoth engine can be used for something doesn't mean that it should ... ;-) Never has a map been made that consists entirely of impassable mountains. The ques...

Picture this: A fencer with 2 kills to lvl is standing on a hill at night on red HP. Two enemy grunts (on yellowish/reddish HP) suicide on it while missing all of their attacks. The fencer levels into a duelist. Many turns later at night, some saurian skirmishers attack the same duelist (almost lvle...

Re: Shouldn't Unit X be able to advance to Unit Y?
The Revenant - Death Knight one is an interesting case - an alternate advancement path will be made available once we have the artwork for skeleton > new level 2 unit > death knight. But usually, such paths are alternates rather than being made available in MP. We already have the Death Squire from...

Re: Deputy leaders in multiplayer
It's a limitation. Not a feature. Just because normal wesnoth doesn't have multiple leaders doesn't mean the engine shouldn't support it. But what if you WANTED a scenario in which the 'canrecruit=1' unit changes? Out of 'only most recent canrecruit=1 can actually recruit' and 'all units with canre...

Re: Scripts for Wesnoth
I'd imagine if the Saurians had astronomical knowledge and made celestial observations/measurements they'd have a good grasp of trigonometry, which would also require circular geometry. The degree is an arbitrarily invented unit for measuring angles so I'd imagine the Saurians won't be using it. The...

Re: "Earth names" for named units
If they are the same, then the origin of the name should be all that matters when they have removed all English names from the game. Going by that logic though, Matthew (which comes from Hebrew) and Katherine (which comes from Greek) should not be considered English names. Hence, the Hebrew name 'J...

Re: Give Vampire Bats a randomly-generated name!
According to the lore, Gryphons get names that they can pronounce. What kind of sounds can bats pronounce?
Maybe a name like 'Eeeeeeeeee' ?
Kinda pointless if there's only one appropriate name though.

Re: HttT Help: Valley of Death
Besides your levelled units, recruits some fighters to stay behind and tie up enemies for a while when you're busy against the northern leader. Once you take the northern castle, spend all your gold on fighters while moving your veterans into the NW mountains. Put your fighters in a line to hold up ...

Re: Units not under water
Well, if the units are standing on water, then there's something wrong. But if they are standing in shallow water (which is what they are doing, I'm also using Windows), then it's perfectly normal. Oh by the way I noticed that flying drakes now have a different frame when on water hexes, so they're ...

Re: New Descriptions?
It may appear that changing a unit description takes very little work to implement, but remember that every edit to text in one language requires the work of many translators to also make edits to other language versions of Wesnoth. So I think the chances of a dev paying attention to new description...
