Re: Age of Trials v0.3.2 (3 February 2012)
I've encountered a bug while playing with Age of Trials factions. It only happens if I play on a randomly generated map with Age of Trials. Wesnoth freezes while loading the game, and displays a dialogue box with this message. Condition ‘str.size() <= 4’ failed at /Users/simon/source.wesnoth.1.10/p...

Re: recalling units changes scenario difficulty?
Why [does the AI ignore fog and shroud]? And I think it's an unfair advantage for the AI. I would have to agree… in most RTS games, only the highest difficulty cheats. Why should Wesnoth cheat? Untrue. The AI in most RTS games will be given free resources on any difficulty above normal, and in some...

Re: New bridges (bridge-castle-transitions, hanging bridge)
Hm, I'll have a look at that later, but at the moment I need a little distance from that bridge. Somehow the hanging bridge still looks too stable? I tried a few planks on a feeble rack... The design looks good. I don't think the colour quite fits with the surrounding terrain at the moment, though ...

Re: Age of Trials v0.3.2 (3 February 2012)
That is a really really nice era, i especially love the free lizard(remind me "Free saurians" from EOS, another great faction!) Thanks! ...I doasn't understeand why in "the People's Front" there are 3 units cost 22 gold...i think is not balanced, but maybe i'm wrong i've not pla...

Re: Age of Trials v0.3.2 (3 February 2012)
Update again. Some bugfixes and balance changes, but the biggest change is that there is now an AoT+Default era, if anyone wants to play AoT factions with the mainline ones. It's not balanced, of course, but some factions might work okay. Hadn't seen this era before as I didn't seriously join the fo...

Re: Age of Trials v0.3.1 (31 January 2012)
Update! I haven't been working on this much lately, I'm afraid - having a bit of a Wesbreak, and I've been busy with some other stuff - so this is a pretty small update. The main thing is that I finally got around to adding Neilarmius' animations (thanks!), so now there will be cossack-dancing warlo...

Re: Art Request -- Iconized GUI Theme
An attempt at some more icons. more_icons.png (Top row has the poison bottle in the middle for comparison) I tried putting an ankh on the poison bottle for cures as suggested, but getting it to be readable at that size was difficult. I'm still not entirely happy with how it looks - I think it looks ...

Re: Minimal amount of files for an Era
Excluding _server.pbl (for uploading to the add-on server) and assuming no binary files (images, sounds, music) are needed, _main.cfg is the only file any add-on needs. If you wanted to, you could always put all the WML code of your add-on into _main.cfg. That's not generally a good idea, however, ...

Re: Art Request -- Iconized GUI Theme
Made a few options for poison, marksman, magical and melee.
Personally, I think 1.2, 2.1 and 3.2 work best. Not sure which of the melee ones I like.

Re: AI Recruitment Deficiency
Have you tried that often? I have a hard time believing a random order would be more challenging. It might be a little unexpected and suprising, but harder? If so, though, I'd be interested in trying it out for future MP matches. Yes, it's noticeably better when recruiting randomly. Most Wesnoth fa...

Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime error
No, that's a completely different problem. Wesnoth crashes during gameplay, not when clicking on something in the lobby, and it has nothing to do with UMC. It occurs even on a clean install and on mainline maps.

Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime error
I had similar problems to Astra on 1.8.5 (random crashes during multiplayer and multiplayer only, giving C++ Runtime Library error message), though I could usually get through more turns than that and even finish games if I'm lucky. I haven't tried it on 1.8.6 yet because I always feel bad when I cr...

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire
Posture looks a little odd to me. I think it's his neck and head position... if I look at his head I get the impression that he's leaning forward or slightly hunched, but his back is straight.

Re: Which faction is easiest to master?
I'd say Loyalists. Their unit roles are fairly intuitive, and they're totally lawful which is helpful for learning the ToD system. Rebels and Northerners are also fine. Rebels' main units are more flexible than Loyalists', which can make them a bit more forgiving if your army composition is less tha...

Re: Status of Loyalist Baseframes
Love Sleepwalker's new versions. I don't like the breastplate on shiremct's version of the ST. I think it looks too much like a naked torso which happens to be a metallic colour, rather than actual armour plates. I know moulded breastplates actually existed, but given that this unit line is supposed...
