Re: Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra -- CC-licensed sample libra
Hello, so good to be back after much time! I recently used the Sonatina library for the recent Global Game Jam, so I thought to thank Mattias publicly here! Great library, I've ever had it on my radar but never actually used it, and I must say I've been impressed by the quality! I will post the musi...

Re: Accidental music contributor...
Actually, since Wesnoth Music is GPL, we can ask music to be original, but THEN it could be used everywhere, so there is not much difference I think

Re: What Programs were used to compose OGG musics in wesnoth?
Ciao, the piano roll is the main way Cubase uses to notate a midi track (you can also use the staff if you like). Anyway, You' better find a guide to midi composing on internet, since it is a quite complex subject but there are many good guides around internet. For example, http://www.tweakheadz.com...

Re: Non-Wesnoth works
I'm listening to it now and it seems, at least to me quite good. Does seem to stop just short of 3 min and then start again, but I'm supposing this is why it's called phoenix. The last ascendance (crescendo too?) leaves us in suspension, maybe add a little conclusion? As if to conclude that the pho...

Re: Wesnoth music and the future
It's not a gift. It is the actual situation here in Italy. I think it's supposed to be a sort of protection from unfair music publisher, but it ends to be a serious issue with projects like Wesnoth. In fact, I actually *have* to submit to SIAE everything for public use, commercial or not. The most ...

Re: Wesnoth music and the future
You should be able to do the work off the record, and not have it protected by SACEM. You don't need the protection if it's a gift; it's contrary to the entire nature of gifts. If you're not allowed to do that - if SACEM owns all of your music and prevents you from working on free hobby stuff, you'...

Re: Non-Wesnoth works
Hi, perhaps it's time to resurrect this thread. I'm doing a music for a demo (it's still a work in progress), it has to be eerie and someway strange. What do you think of it?

Re: I would like to contribute but have a few issues.
Mmm.
I think those pieces would need a lot of work before going into Wesnoth. As now, they would be like some Gameboy sprites into a 24bit game.

Hi, I've listened to your firt part. I think it's quite good, but I can't say much being it less that 20 seconds...the route seems fine to me anyway.

Re: I'd like to contribute.
Welcome! I've listened to your music, I think the best one is aznkewlness0: very well constructed and a good theme. The others are missing something, especially the first one that could be much better with some parallel motion and some variations to the theme. The idea of birds in Reinassance Villag...

Re: Some battle type piece
Very good job! Yes it's missing some polishing, but I like the overall theme and orchestration. Put a good reverb and the magic should be done
I agree it's quite classical in style, it reminds me also the Warcraft 2 soundtrack (this is a compliment).
