Re: Terrain tiling [Dirt for a change]
Hi,
thanks a lot,
actually, i think it could be better with something more textured, something more like that : [edit: maybe a little more shiny would be interesting too, for some kind of wet effect...]
edit: if someone have the time to, be my guest.
Farewell, see ya. 04/02, 3pm.

Re: What about reviving spacenoth?
By telling 'being worth the work', i meant do you find spacenoth relevant, or just some campaign/ era for wesnoth would be better than a complete new game, which would need a complete team, site, server, etc...

What about reviving spacenoth?
Hi,
just asking,
Would it be worth the work to revive spacenoth, which is dead since long now?
Any thoughts?

<off-topic>
You can ambush when the forest tile is "just" a great tree =°
</off-topic>
I though it would be only deciduous tree forests
but well, mixed forest can do well too
Just my opinion: Good so far!
Good luck! bye.

Re: thespaceinvader's portraits - current, Dwarves
Hi, This sentinel is really excellent, but since we must make constructive criticism, can i point/ask some things? Isn't the shadow of HIS right hand too straight? I don't understand the reflexion on the metal back part of the shield (just behind HIS left hand) is it just me? Wouldn't a little anti-...

Re: Dragon sprite
The only bit of constructive criticism I can make is that, when rearing up to breathe fire, the dragon's front legs seem to shrink to about half their original size... yes, really excellent animation, but the front legs look like T-rex ones, when it's standing on its rear legs... Anyway, this pose ...

Re: Deciduous trees
Hi, really nice trees so far =), Hmmm, would just like to add that some people on irc, thought that the tile being the same (it's to say with trees at the same place exactly) when doing variations (fall, winter, summer...), would be great for scenarii purposes. Anyway very nice work so far. Good luc...

Re: Terrain tiling [Dirt for a change]
No need to be sorry, Hmmm, this is a good point, even if i'm not quite sure of what to do so far. First, the transitions you talk about apply to grass, it's the grass hex which do a transition over the dirt terrain and the grass transitions have some transparent pixels. The current dirt looks this w...

TheJM, which transitions look odd, could you explain a little bit?

Re: Terrain tiling [Dirt for a change]
Hmm, Kestenvarn, i assume your comment is for the tile itself, and more relief in the transitions... I gave a try on the dirt tile itself : dirttiles.png I think it's too repetitive so far, i'll do some more pronounced variations, but i would like to have comments about the depth, Well any critique ...

Home page portrait
Hi, Can i suggest the home page portrait being changed for a more recent portrait, more in the current style, elves, loyalists, knalgans, skeletons... there is a lot of better portraits to go with... Maybe this portrait is kept for a reason i don't know, souvenir, wesnoth mainline story etc... but i...

Re: Terrain tiling [Dirt for a change]
The basic difference is that mountain cascades as eventual village cascades uses 1 tile only, mountain (or village), a pack of X mountain being replaced by the appropriate cascade.
Unless you want some cascades of dirt, i still don't know what you mean.
