Re: Wesnoth 1.14.0 — New Horizons Update
I've been having problems where alt+tabbing hasn't been responsive. It'll show my other windows on menu in the middle of the screen, and show the taskbar, but it won't do it. Eventually it'll do it, sometimes with the game bleeding through and replacing the taskbar. This is on Windows 10. Anyone el...

Re: Steam discussion boards
The way to do this would probably be a pinned topic directing people to the forum. PINNED: Wesnoth Community Thanks for your interest in Battle for Wesnoth. Our development team does not monitor the steam community pages, so the best way to interact with us is through our existing forums (link), wh...

Re: Music stuttering in 1.14
I've been having this problem, as well. Doesn't happen in much more GPU and CPU intensive games.

Re: Wesnoth 1.14.0 — New Horizons Update
My thoughts so far: obviously, all of the good stuff (music, gameplay, old school but clean graphics, easy to edit) still applies. One thing that's bugged me, though, is that the Steam overlay doesn't seem to work for Windows users.

I hope so. I'd like to get back into the game but Real Life™ won't let me right now.Paulomat4 wrote:Been here since at least 2011/2012 and i have to say we've seen much worse times. I actually think it is getting much better at the moment.

I think turkeys came first because Thanksgiving is really important.

Re: good orcs ?
Great post, Telchin. I think the problem we're discussing is a sign of lazy writing, which you pointed out well. At times, universal evil makes sense (a necromancer controlling lifeless skeletons, for instance), but it, and all in story telling, must be done logically, and not "just because.&qu...

Re: good orcs ?
You raise a valid point that certainly needs to be explored. I'm a writer, and I used to do goblins and other creatures (such as trolls) as "generically evil beasties" in my fantasy ideas. However, I came to the realization that this concept is logically indefensible (I'm a Christian so it...

Re: Games discussion
Recently bought and played through most of this game - Reload. Pretty decent with some flaws, but I've played it for nine hours, almost all of which was pure enjoyment, so, pleased. It's an FPS, but a simulation rail/range shooter rather than your average fare.

Re: What do YOU want to see improved?
I voted for quality of the GUI and WML enhancements (not that I profess to know all of what that would entail  ). I made an entire campaign in the past, so I definitely don't think WML is too difficult, however, a little more would be nice. However, I can definitely see the point about it poten...

Re: Change title screen music
The current track sounds super victorious and striking, and, for better or worse, leaves a major impression. It gives me nostalgia feels. Thus, as good as the other songs on the list are, I think it's the best fit, especially over Transience.

I think it's fine as-is. The default has never bothered me.
