Re: Android support thread

Hi using Samsung nexus 10 tablet The size of players and buttons are far to small, its a great game but needs a zoom option, any chance this could be applied it would massively improve this game on tablets This is one of the top feature requests that I am working on. The game is currently, essentia...

Re: Android support thread

Does the newest version support the in-game help, or is it still the gutted version? You can actually access the in-game help in the current version. If you long-press on a unit, one of the options will be "Unit description" which currently will open the in-game help that you know. This is not modi...

Re: Android support thread

Two important bug fixes have just been pushed to the market (and some other small changes).

1. Fix for the recall dialog layout bug.
2. Fix for the blank screen after returning to a backgrounded game.

If anyone experiences either of these after upgrading to the newest version, please let me know.

Android 1.8/1.10 support thread

IMPORTANT: This thread primarily concerns the old Wesnoth 1.8 port by cjhopman, although the latest posts are almost exclusively about the Wesnoth 1.10 port by alep. A new thread for the Wesnoth 1.12 port (also by alep) can be found here . The Wesnoth 1.8 port has not been updated in years and it’s...

Re: Android port coming soon...

Some problems with your problems with your github repo: -It's so huge that lesser machines run out of memory trying to clone it -You make such huge commits that github's webinterface refuses to show them Regarding the first, I'll try again tonight with a machine with 4 GiB RAM and 6 GiB swap. As fo...

Re: Android port coming soon...

Wow. With answer #2, you talked me into actually buying Wesnoth for Android! With answer #3, you talked me out of it. DLC is one thing, but not even the blood-sucking corporate giants are charging for PATCHES. Actually this is how I see it: Patches are like updates to the minor version, i.e. 1.8.4 ...

Re: Android port coming soon...

Works great on Galaxy Tab 10.1 I've been waiting for this for months :) Thank you so much! One question tho: It wants to download the whole thing everytime i start the game, is there any way around that? (Paid version.) It sort of defeats the purpose of having it on a mobile device somewhat as it s...

Re: Some questions regarding Android version of BFW

1. Yes, multiplayer will be cross-platform. 2. There will probably be support for custom maps and addons. Also, as you noted the data folder is essentially the same as the pc version. In fact, if you don't feel like paying for the full version you can get the free version and add all the missing stu...

Re: Android port coming soon...

Hey, Lads! According to GNU GPL, we dont have to pay for playing the game. Mr. Developer has rigth to ask a fee only for distribution. We are free to use, copy, modify it. That is only sort of correct. For example, there could be a charge to connect to the MP server and that would be fine, in fact,...

Hm, do you know if SlideMe would work for you? Is there another market alternative that you prefer?
