Re: 1.8 SP Campaign: Bad Moon Rising 1.0.1

Thanks for alerting me, it'll be fixed next time. I don't know why I would have given two units the same id, it must have been an accident that just did not cause problems back when I was writing it. You're right, in Wesnoth 1.6 duplicate id's weren't an issue, and 0_01_Abandoned.cfg wisely made us...

Re: 1.8 SP Campaign: Bad Moon Rising 1.0.1

At the first playable scenario (which in case you don't remember is 0_01_Abandoned.cfg) there used to be an skeleton and a revenant -or two revenants, depending on the difficulty level- guarding the level exit. But nowadays there's only one revenant, which makes a piece of cake of this particular sc...

Re: A New Order (ANO) campaign - version 1.1.6

Thanks very much for your patch-ready bug reports. I'm glad you liked it... because here comes a new brand set of patched files for ANO 1.1.99: fixpack.zip A brief comment follows: - units/orcs/*Orcish_Shaman.cfg : fixed image paths. - scenarios/08_Outlaw_Base.cfg : it adresses the issue of Rob Roe...

Re: A New Order (ANO) campaign - version 1.1.6

Thanks: To Tapik and Szopen (and Typhon!) for the best campaign till date. I mean it. Bug reports (ANO 1.1.98): - Rob Roe is missing right after the 'Outlaw Place' scenario. I beated him with Gawen -so I can recruit outlaws and the such- but Rob is not in the recall list. (who needs such a looser, a...

Re: A New Order (ANO) campaign - version 1.1.6

Did you know that ANO is the Spanish word for "[censored]"? In spite of its terrible acronym, "A New Order" is the very best campaign I've played thus far (which includes IftU, BMR and everything in the mainline). Heroes like Konrad and Kaleh are never allowed to do anything wron...

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness

This discussion is leading nowhere. This is my fault, for having abused psychological terminology. I'll hopefully clarify it later. But first, let me take a breath and recall the status quo. The module plot is about how Malin Keshar got (rather literally) corrupted. Because of the use of necromancy....

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness

So you're saying that this is a worthless campaign because it is similar to the story and Star Wars, and just like George Lucas, the writer failed to deliver on what you expected it to turn into? You mostly got my point. This is not a worthless campaign anyway. I've played it twice and will replay ...

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness

I've not replayed DiD for months, but it still makes me feel bad, since it managed to waste an otherwise sound premise. And all we know who's to blame: curse you, George Lucas! "The Revenge of the Phantom Clones" trilogy was about a gifted youngster who's lured into the Dark Side by a dirt...

Re: Undead campaign: Descent into Darkness

I don't like this campaign, sorry. "Learn the dark arts of necromancy in order to save your people from an orcish incursion." I love this premise. Summoning undead for a noble goal remembers me of what Aragorn did in 'The Return of the King'. :) I love downer endings. I love the chance of ...
