Re: New art commission : Dunefolk
These look great, LordBob. The burner line fleshes out some details for their technology, and avoids being too Mad Max or steampunk. The soldiers have great poses. (In case anyone browsing needs to be reminded, be sure to click on the images, don't just look at the preview.)

Something like that, I guess. Hard to know what problem you are having.

Re: Rogue Mage Portrait
You've fixed the main reservations I had, thanks. It now has my blessing.
The one issue I'm not fully sure I get is the tangents on the right hip
Elements that are touching or nearly touching can create an unwanted effect. The outline of the robe+belt and the edge of the paper touching and being ...

Re: Rogue Mage Portrait
That's one way of dealing with it, and it does look better. I'd still go further, since the arms and face are so lean. Also, keeping his right (our left) hip and the hanging robe from being so aligned in with the paper would avoid some near tangents (I just hid that outline in my example, but ...

Re: Rogue Mage Portrait
This is absolutely headed in the right direction, but really could go further. The main issue is the hips/belt; you've slimmed them down and improved the shading, but he's still pear-shaped. If there's something under the robes that make the belt not track his hips/waist, it needs more indication ...

Re: 1.18 SP Campaign - Bad Moon Rising
I am playing it again right now; it's a very well-designed campaign overall IMO.
Thank you. It is languishing a bit right now; I had plans for the enemy strength scaling that weren't fully implemented and probably need significant rework. Once BfW 1.20 is released, I can get back to this. Yes, it ...

Re: Catgirls
I'm 100% ok with mainline wesnoth using my art! Laerne is enough.
I personally think that image is a bit wonky I probably will at some point see if I can tweak it a bit.
Thanks. I know what you mean, I'll hold off until you are finished with it.
And here are the chakram unit base sprites ...

Re: Outsider Art for Bad Moon Rising
You are right, his eyes are a bit crossed. Odd vision seems appropriate for goblins, they aren't the healthiest crew. I got a bit rusty, but goblins are forgiving because they can have weird proportions and aren't expected to be beautiful.

Re: Catgirls
Hello laerne,
The details on the nine-tails are great, but the face is hard to read.
The light background of the forum makes some of the Urumi warrior hard to see, maybe posting these against a terrain background image would help - using one of the terrain hex images as a background layer, if ...

Re: Outsider Art for Bad Moon Rising
BMR and Archaic Era are languishing, but they are not abandoned. The Northern Orcs faction has long had a goblin variant, but this goblin portrait is a recent addition:
It was a little bit dark/dim, but that wasn't entirely an accident.

Re: Hammer of Thursagan masked Dwarves
So I went trough different version of THoT and I only found this quotes from 1.18 in Scenario 3:
"Kal Kartha is the stronghold of numerous, ancient forges. We are at home in deep firepits, as smiths and craftsmen. The mask is a sign of our mastery of the forge."
"And more practically, it shields ...

Re: Renlie_Cocoa's Art and Animation (Remake Sprite, Idea Advancement, and more other)
Hello RenlieCocoa,
It's great to see all the work you are doing on things. There are a couple issues that I think would help you level up if you could overcome them. I thought the "troglodyte" was a good example. (BTW, "troglodyte" is a cave-dwelling ancient human tribe, it's a little weird applied ...

Re: The Deceiver's Gambit - New Mainline Candidate!
I know that the core {WHISPER} macro (which includes small font) is used in quite a few places. Is using small font generally frowned upon?
I don't know that it's frowned upon, it just seems a clunky re-invention of the wheel, when either stage directions or dialog hints have existed for decades ...

Re: Hammer of Thursagan masked Dwarves
Hello Refumee,
I have to admit up front that I haven't played Hammer of Thursagan , so I'd need to do some "research" to confidently judge the design. From the wiki story at https://wiki.wesnoth.org/TheHammerOfThursagan_story, it seems like they are bandit dwarves, but still regular dwarves, so a ...

Re: The Deceiver's Gambit - New Mainline Candidate!
This is regarding Revelry, Revisited , maybe some of it has been addressed, and I didn't peek at the configuration files, but as of August 2nd version (2396f99a072):
The small font for Eldred seems a bit weird. I see what you are doing, but just wonder if there isn't a better way. Use "Uh" or ...
