Re: Of Pearls and Pirates: Thea Portrait
Hello Asmodeus,
I don't see any issues with the general pose. I'm not sure if the hands are just quick placeholders, but just in case you didn't already see it, the arrow arrangement is hard to understand, it looks like it will slide off her left thumb pretty quickly. The arrowhead outline, where ...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units
LordBob's herbalist portraits made me look at the sprites again. I tried to make them more aligned with his portraits, and just generally clean them up before working on animations. No plans to touch the level 1, just the apothecary and luminary. The Blue TC doesn't look so great, maybe it the ...

Re: Father and Sons – A 13-Scenario Ogre Campaign
Honestly, I thought it was a bit nonsense that AI images aren’t allowed in a simple add-on that people only download if they want to. In my humble opinion, we shouldn’t force anyone to use it, but we also shouldn’t force anyone not to use it.
By its very nature, allowing its use is as good as ...

Re: New art commission : Dunefolk
I've fixed the captain's upper body, he should be fine now, time to move on.
Understood that the critique phase is over, but depending on how you crop the final image, would you consider adding a lighter outline or some lighter streaks to the lower edge of the left/dark side of his beard? Just ...

Re: New art commission : Dunefolk
As for the warmaster/captain poses, I intended them to give off a feeling of a commanding gesture so that we don't have the same boring neutral pose for every unit, but I guess I didn't quite hit the mark and there's only so much you can show with a lone character anyway. However, it's a bit late ...

Thanks for the further reports. Talking animals is a perennial issue, but that particular instance will be fixed.

Re: Shards Era
Quality & content
All era units brought to Tier A quality bar (descriptions, portraits, attack icons, idle/standing where applicable, die sounds)
~1000+ new dialogue portraits (gen_*) across races
This sort of thing is definitely not allowed - it might seem cool now, but it certainly won't be ...

Re: 1.18 SP Campaign - Bad Moon Rising
Thanks for the reports and feedback. This campaign had been stalled out for a while, but I'm working on fixing it now. I hope to have the inventory system and XP scaling (and how they interact) in better shape in the next release, which will probably have to be in BfW 1.20 later this year.
The ...

Here's a saurian skirmisher portrait by Bielves:

Unfortunately, he's currently unavailable to do more illustrations, but I might eventually commission more portraits if this style is acceptable.
The general shading style is good, but I agree with DuncanDill that the outline is much too ...

Re: New art commission : Dunefolk
These look great, LordBob. The burner line fleshes out some details for their technology, and avoids being too Mad Max or steampunk. The soldiers have great poses. (In case anyone browsing needs to be reminded, be sure to click on the images, don't just look at the preview.)

Something like that, I guess. Hard to know what problem you are having.

Re: Rogue Mage Portrait
You've fixed the main reservations I had, thanks. It now has my blessing.
The one issue I'm not fully sure I get is the tangents on the right hip
Elements that are touching or nearly touching can create an unwanted effect. The outline of the robe+belt and the edge of the paper touching and being ...

Re: Rogue Mage Portrait
That's one way of dealing with it, and it does look better. I'd still go further, since the arms and face are so lean. Also, keeping his right (our left) hip and the hanging robe from being so aligned in with the paper would avoid some near tangents (I just hid that outline in my example, but ...

Re: Rogue Mage Portrait
This is absolutely headed in the right direction, but really could go further. The main issue is the hips/belt; you've slimmed them down and improved the shading, but he's still pear-shaped. If there's something under the robes that make the belt not track his hips/waist, it needs more indication ...

Re: 1.18 SP Campaign - Bad Moon Rising
I am playing it again right now; it's a very well-designed campaign overall IMO.
Thank you. It is languishing a bit right now; I had plans for the enemy strength scaling that weren't fully implemented and probably need significant rework. Once BfW 1.20 is released, I can get back to this. Yes, it ...
