Hi, Mist, your new exe worked wonderfully. It was able to run and not crash at the reading file/creating cache phase like the previous exes, so gdb said that there was no stack to backtrace. I joined multiplayer and observed a game as well as a quick turn in a single player campaign. It didn't crash...

did you uninstall 1.3.19 before installing 1.4? For the clean installs, yes -- that's standard practice whenever a clean install is done. But I don't think it would have made a difference, since the various versions install themselves to differently named folders anyway, and there are no registry h...

The Libs seem to be the same aggregate size too. But the exes differ in size, so some change between versions may be at issue. Hi, Mist. Thanks for the suggestion, but replacing the .dlls made no difference. I think the .dlls from the two versions may be identical, since the aggregate file size of the 21 .dll files are the same in both versions.
