Re: goblin portraits

Ah yes, those hands get so confusing sometimes don't they - thanks doofus & Turuk . Sorry, couldn't get back earlier, busy moving out. Tried to fix that and floated his left ear closer to his head. Spent sometime with more detailed shading and textures. It still has some more work to do. I don't...

Re: goblin portraits

Hi all,

I had had an urge to redo the goblin impaler portrait. It just didn't do any justice to the other great Northeners' portraits provided by Lord_Bob.
Just gave it a rough shading, and still has a good deal of work on him yet but so far I think it's a big improvent on the existing one.

Re: TAM artwork

Hi Bob! Glad you liked it. And yes, I was thinking to give a try for Solane's portrait at some point. Are there going to be others? You could send or post a list, and I'll see what I can do. ps: perhaps I'll edit Morteau's portrait, taking the frog from another angle so that's it's more obvious what...

Re: TAM artwork

thanks for the encouragement, all. Wussel, agreed :). I was feeling I had a problem with the skin on Alderot's portrait as well, but mainly because its coloring was somewhat similar to his outfit. Well, so I repainted his face, added outlines. I'll call this one finished as it is. Regarding Morteau'...

Re: TAM artwork

Update on Athos. Probably it's finished. I am posting it with a wesnoth background to simulate the dialogue mode. I should decide how to chop it hips up in order to convert it to a portrait. I guess I'll add some further details and stuff at that stage... Btw you better click on the image otherwise ...

Re: TAM artwork

Yep, I agree with you. They are ancient portraits though. I wish I could motivate myself to give an haul up to many of my old work, but I rather use that time to work on new ones, more fun that way... Oh, I do intend to rework my goblin portraits at some point however :P. So, back to Athos: gave him...

Re: TAM artwork

Hello folks, Got some time to work on the remainder of the portraits... Has been a while I know. Well, so here's a sketch for Captain Athos. This is just the pencils, and not necessarily the final one - if there're certain accesories or important changes you'd like to see let's better settle them at...

Re: Perseo's tryes (Can this portrait be painted?)

Hi. Do you use GIMP? If so, you can give a try at level curves. For this, try Colors -> Levels from the file menu. There, you'll see a graph called Input levels. Give your attention to the bar with triangular marks. As you'll notice you can slide those marks. Play with them. Usually, if I want to by...

Re: TAM artwork

Certainly... I need to think for a while though, and I am also currently busy on something else. I guess I can post something
for Athos sooner or later, feel free to provide any quirks equipment or whatever you'd like to see with him, till then. Same goes for
Solane as well.

Re: TAM artwork

Well, so no frog then! :) I guess... Being not much of an imaginative person all I could come up as an alternative was a piece of bone, oh and it glows! It could be executed in a better manner, choosing the bone as prime light source and making that more obvious, but I'm afraid that'd mean shading h...

Re: TAM artwork

Thank you Bob. I'm going to post their final versions soon (maybe tomorrow). For the Morteau portrait, I have a couple of issues regarding what you said. Firstly, matching sprites has never been my concern for the campaign, since these are not generic unit portraits. Also, I wish you had put in thos...

Re: TAM artwork

Hmm, nice edit Blarumyran! :D It especially makes me notice how 'fake' a hair my version had, and I decided to give him some further revision for that (soon). For the color issue you mentioned however, if you look around at people enjoying a sunny day you will see human complexion do tend to shift t...

Re: TAM artwork

Athena: Took some flesh off her smile, aligned her cheekbones, added some contrast to her eyes. I think I will call her finished.. Alderot: Good thinking jb, did what you suggested and that bit of detail adds personality to him imo. Also adorned him with a tiny dagger. Oh and I'm of mind to call him...

Re: TAM artwork

I adressed some of those issues. Stretched her upper arms a bit, played with her trunk (she looked somewhat boxy). Those things over her cheeks that you have confused as extensions of her ears were meant to be hairlocks... Played slightly with those as well (didn't completely delete them to keep som...

Re: TAM artwork

Some update on Athena. Tried to make her more sober, I hope this will do? I spent some time on water, but I wonder do I need more work on that?... Oh and I used tranparency, check it out with a dark background, looks far better that way :) Thank you for the detailed explanation for Alderot, Bob, I'l...
