Re: How can I add UMC Music to default playlist?
Perhaps then, multi-player games should by default use, Local Playlists, and have a special setting in the scenario files if it's to use a specific playlist. This would mean that in multi-player the different player's aren't hearing the same playlist unless the scenario files say so.

Re: Long live democracy
I don't understand why you people still keep comparing and antagonizing democracy and communism. It's just not the same thing: democracy is a political system, communism is an economic one. In Marx's writing, communism was to be a democracy, it jsut didn't happen in practice... Communism is an econ...

Re: Liberty last level
The game is not balanced for your special faction. Go show that this can happen with the default faction. Otherwise, there's really no point to this. It can, because if the enemy comes every afternoon, you can get xp for a while. But in the default settings, you have no mages which you can regularl...

... so why can a malnourished runt, who is weaker, shorter, and poorly equipped, capable of not only overpower, but destroy in a single encounter, a well-fed, muscular human who has spent his life on agricultural labour, armed with a steel two pronged weapon? ... Re: Mainline: Make plague work on villages
It's been well established that villages cancel out plague. Consider it however you will, but the fact remains. There IS an intermediary period to speak of. Plague spawned corpses do not start with the ability to move. As for your question. With your normal range of undead units, I would generally g...

Re: logic for multiple reactionary attacks???
But over the span of 4 hours lots of attacks can take place. If we are considering things on the unit scale, all engagements might be mere minutes or mere seconds out of the block. On the formation scale, it could be envisioned as different fronts divided against several foes. It is generally the fr...

Re: logic for multiple reactionary attacks???
You can't necessarily apply logic like that to Wesnoth. It's honestly not even clear what the scale is. There're two strange saying regarding this: Hexes are possibly miles across Units are possibly entire battalions (Remember that, artwork wise, entire villages are represented by single houses.) N...

Re: FIRE!!!!
There is an old NES title called "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" where you could set tiles on fire. They did not change the tiles any, but units could not pass through them and a unit that ends its turn on it dies(along with the commander). I think it also damaged the economy stats of the ...

Re: anyone try this with an xbox 360 controller?
Heh heh heh... Sorta makes me wonder how well this game would port to Xbox Live. (Whatever paltry earnings it made for the Wesnoth Project beign of no object, I just think "Wesnoth Live" would just be an awesome idea, even if, although it sits within the realm of possibility, it is about a...

Re: Discussion of modern fantasy
What I don't get, is why all the fantasy books that come out have to be "war epics" of some sort. It's like there's never any good ol' fashioned, "save the princess," or "kill the monster," or "solve the puzzels," type adventures anymore.

Yeah, but they really didn't do their homework on it. My guess is they made it at the last-minute after fiddle-farting their time away on other stuff.

Re: Scenario X of Y
Yeah. The South Guard, has a discrepency in how long it is based on which branch you go by. I've usually had little problem telling whether or not I'm in a final scenario. As a general rule, for those you could not obviously tell you were in the last scenario for, there's rarely any need to "up...

Re: Frogger needs help designing a bow
By characteristics of a race, do you mean their racial features(i.e. ears for hearing, nose for smelling, good sense of touch for reading forces and pressures, which would allow easier equilibrium calculations in the absence of detailed understanding of physical principles.). Or do you mean cultural...
