Re: The Rise of Wesnoth: The Vanguard

1) 1.4 hard 2) 5 (I selected the Dragon as the last challenge, and managed to get the bonus, so I had enough gold for this one.) 3) Clear 4) Don't remember anything special now... 5) None 6) 6. When the undead showed up I thought 'Wow, some nice extra xp!' And I got some hungry mage recruits, so it ...

Re: The Rise of Wesnoth: Return of the Fleet

1) 1.4 hard 2) 5 (again, by this time I S/L a crazy amount of times; but it so seems that after the elf's challenges, the campaign has become systematically easier.) 3) Clear 4) I guess it's interesting. The campaign keeps the same style of dialogue. Interesting as it is, one no longer remembers the...

Re: The Rise of Wesnoth: The Dragon

1) 1.4 hard 2) 10 (haven't beaten yet) 3) Well, where is the dragon? I really got confused at the beginning, since I was supposed to beat the dragon, but all I got were Saurians... I immediately reloaded the last scenario to make sure I had selected what I meant to select. 4) As always, the most int...

Re: The Rise of Wesnoth: A Beach

1) 1.4 hard 2) 10 (haven't beaten yet) 3) Clear 4) Interesting 5) Not enough gold. This is a general problem with this campaign, no gold, and lots, lots of enemies! I got only the 100 starting gold, so you are talking about keeping units alive by formation? You don't have a formation. Also...

Re: The Rise of Wesnoth: Troll Hole

1) 1.4 hard 2) 5? Cuz I have learned through this campaign to do a lot S/L  3) Clear 4) Nothing interesting though 5) If I hadn't loaded a replay of the first turn to check where the troll leaders were, it would be very difficult indeed, I guess. But as I cheated a little bit, there was no rea...

Re: South Guard 6b. The Long March

1. Easiest (cuz I was trying to have some fun...) on 1.4 2. 10 (I also found it ridiculously hard. I have not yet passed the level...) 3. Clear. 4. I was confused by the bandit's opening dialogue. How am I supposed to follow him since I control him? And it is frustrating to find that there's no way ...

Oops...I didn't even know this.
Maybe Wesnoth is more popular in China than I've thought.

But I got this "cannot connect o MySQL server" error...gonna check again some time later.

I have emailed firen.china also, and I didn't receive any reply. I wonder how many active Chinese users are out there? Maybe someone can take this translation task over. I personally do not have enough time for Chinese translation recently, although I'd very much like to continue the unfinished job....

I started playing Wesnoth from the 0.8 line, and have been loving the cute 2D graphics ever since :) Gameplay, however, sucked at first. Perhaps it was because Wesnoth was too resource-consuming for my old machine :P And the learning curve is quite steep...Can't get it right the first few tries, eve...

Thanks for the welcome, Alink And I am hoping for good results :) Your reply reminds me of another problem with the Chinese texts. In unit tooltips the translation does not change lines, resulting a long paragraph running across the screen. I dread thinking about adding "/n" by hand to mak...

Thanks for all :) I've got most of them. Just a few things: 9970 Unterminated [element] tag 9978 Unterminated [+element] tag 10002 Unexpected characters after variable name (expected , or =) Those refer to WML syntax errors But 9970 and 9978 looks quite the same to me. If they are syntax error messa...

There are also some technical problems associated with my translation. It seems that after a specially tagged word, the Chinese translation will break up the line, even it is right in the middle. I am uploading screenshots to illustrate my points, and the section in question is 1970 Recruit and Reca...

If you don't understand anything, feel free to ask. :) Other translators maybe want to know the same thing, but are afraid to ask. I was thinking about asking also :P Here we go: (numbers referring to lines in the 1.2.4 source pot) 514 Bots This seems to be in the credit page. Does Bots mean ...

Thanks for the instructions. I've done most of what I am capable of, and that leaves me with 23 fuzzy items and 30 untranslated ones, most of which are names, or things I don't quite understand. I am half way through checking the translated items, and am able to test it with the mo file. Since I wil...

Thanks for all the tips and warm welcome! I was having fun doing the translation just now on the 1.2 po file :P It will take me perhaps another day to finish off all the untranslated lines and the fuzzy lines, but I have seen mistakes in the translated lines also, so more time is still needed. I do ...
