South Guard-Mebrin

I've been playing "Vale of Tears" in South Guard. I've defeated the level before but I have never found Mebrin. As much as I'd rather fond him on my own , I just can't find him. I even checked the cfg file for the game to find where he has been placed on the map. I couldn't find any tags e...

a reply to comments made

The hand looks like a skeleton hand, and it doesn't match with the rest. The face is of a sulking teenager. Some directional lighting and probably a non-frontal view would make it look more interesting. The red part needs shading. Generally speaking, frankensteining is not a good idea for portraits...

Portrait for Expulsion of the Wesfolk

I finished the portrait of the main character of a campaign I am currently building, the Expulsion of the Wesfolk. I'm not a good freehand artist so it is frankinsteined with a few additions from myself. I was wondering if I could get feedback on it (portrait of Gerund). I'm mainly interested in fin...

the Wild Queen and the ABSOLUTE EVIL

My dear sadistic female religious wanna-be, It appears that the comments originally made in this thread have all been lost in the recent spate of technical difficulties. Best of luck with the campaign, though. As I recall, my original comments were refuted, but I thought I'd add one or two more: 1)...

THe Expulsion of the Wesfolk

(Had a glitch so this is a second version of another post...not sure if it was posted.) I am working on a campaign set in the time before the Rise of Wesnoth which Explains how the Wesfolk were driven out of their western continent. I have the main cfg done but am working on the scenarios, I still h...

Cum certe non multi sint qui linguam Latinam legant, tamen nonnulli! - b. sint is subjunctive because it gives the cum clause either a circumstantial (when.....that is, under the circumstances that), causal (since or because), or concessive/adversative (although) meaning. Since legant is from leger...

ROTFL

It depicts how Wesnoth became a dessert and the civilizations fell apart. "And lo! the lands became filled with cake and icing, while whipped cream fell from the skies in a furious deluge that threatened to drown all man! And ye, the factions, the cultures, the civilisations did fight between ...

Any interest in a Latin Translation?

If anyone is interested, I can make translations of mainline games into Latin. I don't know how many people would be able to read it, but I think it might add a certain aesthetic quality.

inescapable duality problems and "possesed" undead

It seems like a very interesting idea that would make undead vs. undead battles more dynamic. This problem shows up most poignantly in the undead battles, yet it inescapably happens whenever one race fights its own like Elf vs. Elf and Ogre vs. Ogre. To some extent it's unavoidable. If a unit is add...

writing a campaign

I don't mean to be a pain, but I wanted to ask a few more clarifying question on the online explinations of how to write a campaign. (1)So, could I used Microsoft Word to write the campaign and scenarios so that all I would have to do would be to add .pbl to the name of the proper file and .cfg to t...

.cfg and .pbl?

What do .cfg and .pbl mean? the tutorial online say that each should be added on to the end of a saved file for creating a campaign, but it doesn't say if it is just in the name alone or if .cfg and .pbl are two different kinds of programs. also when listing an icon in the .pbl file the example is s...

Arends and David Eddings (attempt #2 at posting properly)

Methinks that these Arends doth hold a nostalgic candle up to David Eddings' Austurian, Wacite, and Mimbrate Arends. He is probably the greatest of the fantacy fiction writers.
