Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.7

Regarding Brungar: they seem overpowered although they really aren't because they are handicapped outside of being on water or swamp Not really: they have 50% on a lot of the most common defensive terrains, like hills and mountains, and even less common terrain like cave tiles. Unlike mermen from EE...

That's bug #11049 , basically, starting from a start-of-scenario save, all the side information is lost for the client and observer players. That means when substituting a player from observer mode, he doesn't have the correct side info. At least I think it's the same issue (hm... or not. Needs fur...

His eyes still look off. Other than that, I think you made the difference between mail and plate clear enough. (can't say for sure though, this CRT is absolute horror) The eyes are different shapes (one's almond, the other more ovoid), and there's too much white showing. The eyelids should partiall...

There are OOS errors when playing with two or more players (either substituted or assigned at the beginning). The OOS errors were mainly position errors. At the beginning of scenario two, player 1 had recruited units, but neither I nor the observers could see them. When subbing in players at scenari...

Karo: I'd thought of a falcon hood type thing, i'll look into it. But i don't want to do anything too obtrusive, because the sprite doesn't appear to have much of a bridle, if any at all. It certainly doesn't have a leather hood... Actually, I was thinking more of a skeletal hood, also, meaning jus...

Dynamic Attack Change

This code isn't meant to be implemented as it is, but rather is being used on a testbed unit. The idea is that when the unit is attacked, the attack triggers a change in the attributes of the counterattack. The code I'm posting shows the effect of a missed first attack. [event] name=attacker_miss fi...

@ai: Could you make the rifle (carbine?) picture a link? @thespaceinvader: The gryphon's bridle looks rather odd... I don't think the front strap is necessary. Perhaps, instead of a typical equine bridle, you could modify it to sort of look like falcon's hood. With the exception, of course, of eye-h...

They wouldn't have to speak as one. They could argue with each other. :P

By the way, DDR, perhaps you should change the thread title to EoM Campaigns?

@Karo: Nice work, but IMO she should be standing in a more generic stance... She's a hero unit, so she deserves a heroic pose. ;D Good attack frame. Only problem is the off-hand arm. It stays in the same place as the base frame, which I didn't like much to begin with. Perhaps you should have it sti...

A sprite of Nym, drawn to the specifications Mist gave me (not the pose - that was entirely my devilry). I also posted this on the Organized Art thread in the Art Workshop for additional feedback.

The head is very, very good. The talons are too small, however, and the wing is very crude. Google came up with a good reference picture with a "folded wing" search: http://www.charliesbirdblog.com/~charlie/waterthrushes/bird_topography.jpg That wing is completely closed, but it shouldn't ...

I don't want to be a nitpicker here, but I think the north bridge needs more perspective. Now it is looking too flat in comparison with the other bridges. I've tried to darken the part that should be darkened according to the lower-right light source (don't know if that's correct?) Just to give you...

I've been interested in helping redo the Desert Elf sprites, and since my first was a Desert Hunter, Mist encouraged me to complete the set. So I thought to begin with Nym, since I won't have to do additional sprites for advancements. This sprite is mostly raw; the colors are borrowed from megane's ...
