I have seen that is feasible, but the question is, do you think it is useful? Wouldn't it be more useful to find out what is actually causing the slow-down? Since historical binaries are available on Windows, it should be relatively easy to pin-point the version where the problems were introduced. ...

I play on a 700MHz computer with 256MB RAM. Not exactly the quickest of machines... and I certainly noticed a major slow-down from 1.0 to the more recent versions of the game. To be honest, I don't know what exactly is causing the slowdowns (maybe the flags waving in the wind), but I still find the ...

If you compiled Wesnoth on Ubuntu using default instructions, the wesnoth directory is located here: /usr/share/games/wesnoth If you are playing the packaged version available from the Ubuntu repositories (1.0, last I checked), I strongly recommend compiling the latest version (1.1.11 == 1.2rc1). I ...

(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? medium 1.1.11 (1.2rc1) (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) Easy, but annoying. Hard to quantify in a single number. Using the number of times I had to reload as a way of estimating difficulty: 8 (I don't t...

I disagree. A few reloads isn't going to put any real strain on the server, especially since it takes FOREVER for each reload. As for posts in a forum, I can only say that if *my* server went haywire, I'd like for people to post about it (especially seeing as the front page worked). Not only does it...
