A Place For Maps
I was just wondering... should there be a seperate forum for people to post and discuss their maps that's seperate from Multiplayer Development? Also I'm wondering when that long discussed multiplayer map archive page will happen... Has anyone considered consolidating the best MP forum maps into a s...

I wasn't sure if my post would be taken seriously, but I'm really happy that so many people have been trying to come up with a solution. Hurrah for open source gaming :) Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had thought using color inversion for the highlight. Basically the highlighted areas would look ...

This is something that can happen on both sides. Moving simultaneously would 'fix' that (I doubt there is really need to do wnytinh about it), but destroy completly teams balance - like I said - what to do with 1st team advantage - when 2 or 3 players move at same time and can wipe out whole army? ...

Also tem-attack are easy in MP now - just you have to talk with allies (teamwork). There are common scenarios where it's not a matter of teamwork. On a hotly contested frontline, say on Olof's Liliputh, you want to swap you fully healed fighter with your ally's half dead spearman to garrison a cruc...

The Archer has a forked progression path. Along with this comes a higher xp total to reach 2nd level. The Thunderers progression is fixed, but happens more quickly. I don't see how the Archer's forked progression is particularly useful. Nine times out of ten in a multiplayer game, Marksmen will be ...

Feature Request: Allied Movement on the same turn?
Seeing other people move my units during sync errors made me wonder would it be possible for each team to move all units simulaneously during their turn? That way there'd only be one turn for each team, and things would progress much faster in multiplayer. Also you get around the major problem of yo...

Enemy Moves Hard To See on Gray Tiles
Has anyone noticed that it's really hard to check enemy moves on gray tiles? It depends on what type of screen you have but I have this problem on my home computer and many other people have said they have the same problem. Maybe the color could be changed to something that contrasts better? Also in...

Neutral Factions Strongest So Far
I for one would be interested in seeing a replay for Doc vs the undead if it ever happens :). In the meantime, speaking of the original thread, I've been having a lot of fun with the Dwarves and the Elves again. In my opinion, in a lot of situations neutrality seems to give you a tremendous advantag...

What seperates the best players from the newbies?
I read this in the Faction Observations thread, and have been wondering, what seperates a really good player from a newbie or intermediate player? Is it good tactical skills, knowing when to attack and not to attack, overall strategic plan, effective countering or what? After a certain point, is it ...

Faction Observations: Who's the strongest? Who's the best?
How would people rank the the six factions in order of most fun to play and most powerful? In terms of raw power, I would say: 1. Dwarves 2. Elves 3. Loyalists 4. Drakes 5. Northerners 6. Undead Granted it depends a lot on map type and what teams are, but I think it's safe to say most people feel th...
