Re: OS X 10.7.4 > Wesnoth unplayable once more
Then I guess I we have to ignore these entries and only focus on the fact that Wesnoth under 10.7.4 has the tendency to hang either in the start screen or in the course of longer dialogues. The hang is also never absolute, more of a slowdown, but after a while it slows the UI so much that it is impo...

Re: OS X 10.7.4 > Wesnoth unplayable once more
I actually run Wine or Winebottler, but if possible, I of course prefer native versions. In addition, I’ve been running the OS X version of Wesnoth since version 0.7 or something like that… and it has been smooth sailing for almost all of the last seven years. That is how great the Wesnoth devs are!...

OS X 10.7.4 > Wesnoth unplayable once more
It seems as if we have some new problems with Wesnoth in the most recent update to OS X Lion. (Running on a MacBook Pro 2,2 with 3GB RAM.) At the home screen and in dialogues Wesnoth stalls almost completely, often to the point where I have to force-quit it. Console repeats entries like these: 10.05...

Re: +149399900% ?
Maybe it would be a good idea to add your description, along with screenshots and saves, to the bug? Sorry, what's your idea? That you add the description that you posted here to the “official” bug report. Developers need detailed bug reports that are posted using the bug reporting system of the de...

Maybe it would be a good idea to add your description, along with screenshots and saves, to the bug? (I have also encountered this and the error was much to be to be caused by some incremental adding up…)

Re: EI: The Outpost (Royal Guard)
I tried to beat this scenario in Royal Guard setting on 1.10 and I have to agree that it is extremely hard to beat it. I guess I might go so far as to say that it is not possible to beat it without saveloading – which I find inappropriate if one has to do it regularly. I tried to beat it using both ...

You should only use start of scenario saves - even then, there is no guarantee that this works, of course.ace214 wrote:Can you use saves from 1.8.6 in this version?

Re: Wesnoth and Mac OS X Lion
I installed the framework into the 1.9.13 build and mousing around on the start screen in windowed mode is much slower than in full screen mode. The MP area worked fine in both modes, as did the actual playing. For a friend of mine, 1.9.13 on Lion was very slow in windowed mode, both without the cus...

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.6 anc Mac OS X Lion
Same crash here. (I'll also attach the report, but it looks like it is the same issue here - i.e. it happens in SDL_FillRect and SDL_SetVideoMode etc.)

You’re the best, obviously!Alarantalara wrote:I'm rather busy this week, but it is possible that I will be able to take the time next weekend to try and merge the fullscreen patch for SDL into an older version of SDL, thus hopefully solving all issues.

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.6 anc Mac OS X Lion
I got the patched version from the SDL development tree and built it myself. The most recent versions of SDL have dropped support for PPC processors, which Wesnoth still supports, which means there is a very narrow window of revisions that can be used directly. It also means that even if a new vers...

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.6 anc Mac OS X Lion
Since 1.9.10 still shows this crash :( I wanted to ask if it would make sense to do a newer build of the SDL framework to fix the issue reported by Simon Forsyth: Testing snapshot with OS X 10.6 and Wesnoth 1.9.9 shows that the snapshot is failing is_neutral_surface assertion when trying to blur the...

For Lion: Wesnoth currently does not run in full screen under Lion.

Re: BfW 1.9.8 infrequently locks up my Mac
Does the problem persist in 1.9.9? If yes, can you post a report on this on gna? That's a better way to make the developers aware of this problem. :) Maybe you could add another crash log or provide more detail as to when the crashes happen – that would make finding the source of the bug easier I gu...
