Re: Convert your pics to indexed
...when appropriate. You can shrink the size considerably when you convert a png from full RGB to 16 colours indexed. For b&w line art this usually doesn't decrease the quality noticeably, the white may get a slight yellowish tone but it doesn't matter with pictures posted for demonstration pur...

"Hasty Alliance" problem at 1280x1024
I first had this problem with 1.1.2a, all the scanarios before "Hasty Alliance" had correct 1:1 scaling, but for some reason "Hasty Alliance" was scaled a bit bigger then 1:1 and Wesnoth's scaling beeing how it is it looked ugly, so ugly that it was hard to keep some of the more ...

4. (most of the time) Look at the battlefield and mouse-over units to plan my next move. Having the focus active, with half the screen dark and footprints following the cursor, is pretty much the most annoying thing the game could do after a move. I guess I see a turn in a very different light then...

I think it would be a hassle to have to remove the focus every time you move a unit and are done with it. There are usualy three things you would want to do after moving a unit, if it still has usable movement points left: Select a different unit to move by clicking on it, you would still be able t...

Keep focus if the unit can still move
Is there actualy any reason (lack of somone to implent it aside) why this isn't done yet? It's not like the next unit is selected or anything, but I have to remember why I left the units there instead of pressing space right after I put them where they are needed.

Players should have the option to disable observers even without ranking games. Which they already do. WTF is your point? That players can choose how much possible cheating they expose themselves to (as oposed to the other player having all the info no matter if observers are allowed or not), that ...

Of course, Go is an information complete game. Wesnoth isn't. It is possible for one player in wesnoth (even without fog) to have information that the other doesn't. Also, Go doesn't depend upon random outcomes. So, a GO server is not a very good comparison. Go is a much better comparison than a MM...

Cheating with fog/shroud would be nearly impossible to prevent unless you are going to disallow observers for all ranked games. Players should have the option to disable observers even without ranking games. People have found ways to win at Halo, World of Warcraft, and the list continues ad infinit...

Re: Wose death animation [WIP]
Nice start. better than what's been done for the anchient wose. but the leaves seem to dissappear before they hit the ground, and perhaps there should be additional frames of the wood part falling apart. The leaves crumble to dust as they fall, at least that is the idea, it's not very visible. Fall...
