Re: Valkiers portraits

If that can help, my "friend" Angelo was willing to do a little posing to show off his ribcage. Of course, he's a little stiff, but I hope it is somewhat useful as a reference.

Re: Readability of the map: Village or not?

I guess a neutral flag or flagpole on neutral villages would fix the problem well enough, or make the village icon overlay show as soon as an unit is selected?

A more drastic change would be to make it a new terrain type, but I'm pretty sure this will not happen.

Readability of the map: Village or not?

I have reinstalled Wesnoth recently (mostly to check the gorgeous new unit pics), and went through a MP game, to see how much I had forgotten. What bothered me during that game was the addition of village-like tiles to the map, aka mills and ruins. While they sure look nice and all, I find it quite ...

i just finished the campaign on 'easy' mode (cause i'm lazy), i agree with the point on ghosts doing everything and the rest. what bugs me the most is the first part of the Descent into darkness scenario. roaming caves to feed on rats is fun, although dying cause the rats got lucky is something whic...

you can crop with paint.

either drag-drop the small squares at the corners or in the middle of the right and bottom border, or modify the value in the image properties(in one of the menu, cant remember which exactly, but definitely exists)

randomness in mp games is not something that bothers me. in fact, i could hardly point out a game where i lost due to randomness only, and even in that case i consider those games as pretty entertaining. during campaigns, on the other hand, where you meet those horrible lvl 2 grunts at night (for ex...

First, [censored]: Quote: for another 1$, the bowman has 1 more hp, twice the melee damage, and more ranged damage. the bowman's total damage is 12+18 = 30, versus the poacher's 6+16 = 22, a big difference. Poachers are chaotic units. Bowmen are lawful. The implications are quite obvious. oh, yeah, ...

i suppose you can use xdelta to update the source files without downloading everything each time. you d have to compile it yourself, though.

most units on water(except mermen and the like) have weak defense, therefore, you might say that an unit attacking someone on water got an offensive advantage.

diffuculty in campaign is harder than most 'commercial' games' difficulties. don t be ashamed to play it on easy, especially if you re new.
