And here is a modified version of that portrait which does not have quite such obvious pixel boundaries.

Last one. The eyes look less human so i think it fits. As for the glowing...i am not sure.

I wanted to highlight the face with the glow but its to bright I think.

He looks kinda wierd, more like a living log, than a living tree. (Kill me for resurrecting thread)

I dont' think that wose was my best work, or even very good. I will admit the awful process I followed now to make such an abomination. First I took the wose in game, then I enlarged it in the gimp. After that I drew over it to give it more detailed leaves and such. Then I tried to change the positioning of the branches. The result is something that strikes fear into the hearts of men, er I mean a pathetic piece of firewood.

Ach, don't feel bad. Art is tough.

For one thing, in order to eliminate the pixelation of your work, I'd suggest taking a look at some of the tutorials listed here:
