1.14.6 - "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file." (Solved)
I downloaded the 1.14.6 Win32 installer, after installing the game, whenever I try to run wesnoth the error in the title takes place.

I don't suppose there's anything in the log?

How do I check?
I am not sure if its my computer or not... I tried restarting, Wesnoth opened, then I closed it and opened it again and didn't allow me access again.

Is this the first time you install wesnoth on this computer? If not, what version did you have before you tried to install 1.14.6?

Re: 1.14.6 - "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file."
No, it isn't.
I had 1.14.5, and I did unistall (not userdata) 1.14.5 before installing 1.14.6.
I can't run wesnoth.exe, wesnothd.exe, nor Unistall.exe
It's odd because this user account is the system administrator and I haven't had any issue like this Wesnoth before.
Also, Windows uninstaller runs properly with anything but Wesnoth.

Nop, nothing new in the logs, the existing files were created of past errors.Pentarctagon wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 9:12 pmSee: https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=46166PapaSmurfReloaded wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 8:59 pm How do I check?

Re: 1.14.6 - "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file."
I restarted my computer once again, and now it seems to work normally.
Beats me.
The only difference between this and last restart is that turned off Avast File and Behaviour Shields.
-> EDIT: Experimented, when I turn on Avast Antivirus File Shield is on I get that error. <-
That did not happen before.

Well, I'm not sure why that would be newly happening with 1.14.6, but I'm glad you figured out what was going on.
