Replay Server Changes

Post by dracomalfoy »

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I have noticed the replay server now gives less details about each game including the loss of: game name and players in game.

I like to watch ladder games and when the game replay is not uploaded to the ladder site I use these details to find the game on the replay server. Due to these changes I can no longer do this. Would the powers that be possibly reconsider these changes?

Thanks for your time :)

What happened to Wesnoth replays server

Post by Elder2 »

It seems that it was changed, but why? Now finding games is infinitely more difficult.

It should be fixed now.

EDIT: To clarify, the loss of information wasn’t intentional. I completely forgot that the Description column had an actual use in the replays directory.
Author of the unofficial UtBS sequels Invasion from the Unknown and After the Storm (now available for Wesnoth 1.14).

Totally agree with others.. very very very very sad changes :(
As a developer of an era now I can not watch replays of my era to fix bugs and stuff.. because there is no era name to use ctrl+f :(
Please change it back to normal...

PS. wrote it with you same time :D Thanks very much for fixing it!!!!
