It is intended when unith recieve 4 exp for battle with Guru. It is questionable when units recieve 16 exp (4 exp for every strike) for standing near someone fighting with Guru.

I like how it has a little resemblance to Chrono Trigger! :D

For example, the Sky Kingdom is comparable to the Kingdom of Zeal? And the Void Mage's outfit looks similar to the Prophet's outfit from Chrono Trigger :p. Well not like identical but it just reminds me of it. xD

Edit/Post 2: I see that it had Chrono Trigger graphics from an earlier post? I see... I'm a sucker for any Chrono Trigger/SoM/Seiken Densetsu 3 references.

The bottom line is, this is my favorite add-on MP Era :D

@Crimson_Conure: indeed that game was (still is) one of the greatest sources of inspiration to me. The initial release of EoMa even used some of its graphics, which was of course illegal and was one of mistakes of my youth :mrgreen:

But inspirations on a similar scale happen even in default Battle for Wesnoth. For example the Gryphon Rider is based on the Gryphon Rider from the World of Warcraft :eng: Here is the proof:

warcraft version throws hammers at range and cant attack in melee.
Totally borrowing alter ego code to fix my non-working werewolf transformation ability :whistle:
If you would like some sprites to gain teamcoloring i may volunteer to work on that a bit.

But still bears a strong visual reassemble to WoW original. Nevertheless it is hard to avoid inspirations nowadays, where fantasy theme is intensively exploited.

That would be excellent! Your TC sprites have already been included in 2.0 release and you are mentioned in the Credits file. I would be happy to see more. :)

@inferno8 ah I see. Now I want to see the original sprites haha.

I love the destroyers btw! Its my favorite faction (and I bet the omen is based off the black omen from chrono trigger xDD :D)

Man I love all those slight chrono trigger references :p

Are there any like... groups for people that play Era of Magic for multiplayer?

Of course not. It was a place, not a creature, remember? :lol: But in terms of naming - no, the inspiration came from elsewhere.

Most players play EoMa for singleplayer, but there are some people who occasionally host a game with this Era. You have to be lucky. BfW is not as much popular as it were a few years ago. But when the game hits Steam, more people may learn about the Era and some old veterans may even return ;)

The wyvern rider zombie is perhaps too good being an chaotic lvl0 with an 6-2 charge attack.

no, his charge attack is 5-2

Strange, somehow seen it as 6-2 in the zombie survival scenario. So was that the underground ToD bonus ?

Oh CMON! ye right jk xDD they just have the same colors and everything :p, and yes Black Omen is one of my favorite places in terms of looks :o

He is my friend but I don't think that I'm too biased, EoMa and TLU can stand on their own as masterpieces of Wesnoth.

Darn I may be arriving late back to wesnoth, but I had some personal issues to deal with before coming back to wesnoth.

I hope I'm not late for a balance feedback for EoMa V2.0 :C

Era of Magic 2.0.1 is now available!
There are some bugfixes, balance changes, new and improved animations for various units, and a few descriptions for Tharis units.
The Zombies Challenge scenario is now fully customable and its default difficulty level has increased.

I would like to thank ForestDragon for all the improvements he has made to the animation code. He managed to combine many different effects and join them in a very creative way to produce outstanding animations. Also, he has written some descriptions for Tharis units. You may want to check them out. ;)

Here is the changelog:

	* decreased Bone Beast line's movepoints to 5
	* Atokpis have 30% on shallow/deep water, 30% defense on deep water, and 40% on reef
	* buffed Mistress of Light's melee to 10-2, and ranged to 22-1

	* changed Dispeller/Banisher's banishment attack's type to arcane
	* Wyvern's tackle 11-2
