Hello Druid, sorry for skipping my last game.
This was not out of disrespect to you and your nice organisation of the Tournament.
But i've had got already 3 point for free on sunday (i mean the w/o points), and if this would have happend a second time, i would have more points in total than potyi-HUN, who actually played all his 11 group games. That i wouldn't have considered very fair or gentleman-like, so i decided to lose the extra 3 w/o-points (i somehow assumed, that Scaramush would not appear, again).

Thanks for the fun and excitement you gave to us with the Tournament.
I like beavers.

I don't know if I'm a good player enough to make comments, but I'll put my two cents in:

I think loyalists overrecruited at start so they could not get two mages for a second day attack. Possibly choosing a spearman instead of a horseman in the initial recruitment would have been a better option. Horseman isn't in fact very useful in some matchups. Also, getting it in the cave at turn 6 made it useless during the day attack.

I also think that loyalists' counterattack at the second watch might have been too risky since loyalist are p1, undead still have the night bonus the following turn. Loys lost a mage so having only one mage could have made life harder against undead.

Giving up the cave village at turn 13 (actually suiciding a fencer) wasn't a good option imo. Undead got the village advantage and despite losing units, overcome it.

Poison worked very well for undead, and till the third night it turned out that undead are in an advantage despite having less kills. Undead managed to kill both mages, get a cave village and poison half of the loyalists army, that meant loyalists were weak before the third night. Then, loyalists lost a newly recruited mage so they couldn't kill skeletons easily at day.

I think there were also some small but important mistakes on loyalists side, such as attacking axe skeleton with fencer, exposing magi for undead attacks or losing an experienced HI.

This is my take on it. I don't think that luck was deciding here. Statistics showed it was equal actually. Main reason for the result of the game was the village advantage of undead, who could constantly reinforce with the skeletons and not suffer from the magi, who died shortly after being recruited. However, it's worth noting that this is not an easy game for loyalists. They can get magi against skeletons but they can die easily, especially when attacking skeleton archers. HIs are also not very strong since they are slow and vulnerable to cold attacks. Skeleton archer+dark adept is a hard combo to counter at night. It was quite a nice game to watch anyway. :)
