Hi, ForestDragon!
I've checked the facts and it's looking like text which you referred isn't even official description of the era. On add-ons server era has the following description:
Image
So maybe it would be more productively to check mistakes there.
BTW, have you already played new silver age survival?

ok, so here are the mistakes/corrections:
era, with > era with
and beginning > and the beginning
as basis > as a basis
on events > based on the events
two of eight > two out of eight
and no, i haven't, beacause i only have the 1.12 wesnoth version

BTW, there is a tournament based on the era, which planned on January 7th. It's not international, but any player who have Skype, wesnoth of 1.13.6 version and installed era is welcomed.
the topic about it on russian forum:
http://forum.wesnothlife.ru/index.php?t ... n#msg34743
three winners would receive gifts: Cups with thematic pictures (like the orc).

Gameplay

SaulBlack has said right, we have the tournament based on the era. And before you will make the decision to join us, you can watch some replays of era. The games were between 2 good wesnoth players, me (ladder rating 1845) and Kral (ladder rating 1940, so, you can gain good experience before starting. Anyway, the replays are good opportunity to show you how the era works.
Spoiler:
Replays:
  • First of them is a game on Caves of the Basilisk map. The point of this replay is a lesson about day/night retreats in era. The game here much harder in time frames than it was in default era.
  • Second game will show you how to play by Corpse thief. The matchup was played on Silverhead Crossing map.
  • And last match was on Æthermaw map. This game about loyalists power. If you will think about undeads like about overpowered faction, you always can download this replay.
You are welcomed to the tournament! PM me if you wanna join.

Just a quick note to let you all know I'm working on the text correction. I'm thinking it'll be ready in about 7 days.
Wesnoth stole my summer . . . again.
