That one looks really, really good! I'll include it. Do you have the code for it ready?
As a non-artist i probably can't help you more with improving it. Maybe someone else who did Bob anims recently could help you more.

decided to recolor archaic era's despair cloak unit line portrait, just for my amusement, but still:

looks more like the unit sprite, doesn't it. i made it because i urgently need a mysterious, creepy character... who is a pretty friendly merchant :mrgreen:

decided to make a few recolor sprites, first for my campagin, second and third for Fingerbone of Destiny (Underness series) to replace those crappy lich+hood frankens used currently (because those awesome portraits deserve better unit sprites, than ones used):

decided to make a sketch for glavier melee anim, it's still far from perfect, but way better than a 1-frame weapon rotation i made earlier :oops: , it's kinda how it works:starts as crappy sketches, and after some feedback, it starts turning into something, so here it is:

Looks better than the old one :) You're at least moving his left arm in the first frame. But to make a really good animation you need to move the whole body. Try animating the rest of his body as well.

Looks good with new hair! But the trident is somehow strange, I think this is because the sharpness and scale of the weapon is different from the original image.

thnks for commenting! and about the trident, it's because the rotating function in gimp often messes up pixel art :hmm: might need to draw it almost from skatch, or maybe tweak the rotated version to match the original closely.

The trident seems too big for the merman. It also seems a bit blurry. Also, I must say I like the cloaked sprite with the angel wings. Keep it up!

Cool! But wings look a bit too dark and blend with robe. Maybe making them stand out?
