In case anyone is wondering about my low activity level:

Since a few days, i couldn't connect to the host within the game, including but not limited to the official server, the alternate servers, custom servers and the add-on server. With no drastic changes done to the file system, i expected it to be an officially acknowledged downtime, but it isn't and it's still present. While i'm downloading and reinstalling the game without having better ideas, i would like to ask how is it in your sides? If any others participants have been affected by this mystery, i might have to postpone the closing of registration. Not that the low number of the current participants are not making it necessary anyway... Rules were designed for a minimum number of 20 players. Not that it is forbidden to start it with, let's say 16 if we really must, but feels strange nevertheless.

I can log on to the server without any problems. Was wondering where you vanished . You can always check if server is down @ status.wesnoth.org

As for the tournament start date, I am fine with both waiting for more players or starting with the current number of participants.

I tried to redownload the game, toyed with firewall settings, but to no avail - i cannot connect to any server on any username. Ladies and gentlemen, i'm baffled.

Due to the fact that even the registration phase requires my presence to some degree (so not only to preach and spread the cheer but to personally contact with others) and the relatively low count of participant (there were at least 3 players pending, which would make it 20)), i am officially postponing the closing of registration by a week.

Thus, registration ends on 7th May!

The registration is over! From what i have seen, the result will not matter, as every single one of them will be a group of death. Brace yourselves, with only the best two from each entering the second round, this indeed will not be a cakewalk.
I uploaded a password-protected file as attachment, listing the players with numbers from 1 to 20 arbitrarily associated to their names. If you are participating and reading this post, reply with a list of five numbers in the 1-20 range, all different from the previous, that will be group "A". The next two players will randomise group "B" and "C", then i will tell the password to authenticate the results, and the tournament will be started. Officially.
