To change the style of artwork, here's a big floating eyeball.
To avoid copyright issues, I'll call it The Eyeball with No Name.
Palette taken from the cuttlefish.

A paintbrush is worth a thousand swords.
The average pen is equal to a sword, but a picture paints a thousand words.

Never saw the shadows - I guess that as long as you're not talking about a finding a markup or better deal on used furniture I'm not all that observant.
Rbuck: your new buildings do look much better as far as I'm concerned.

...apparenly we can't go with it or something.

I come bearing gifts! Although it isn't Christmas yet...
The new version has a lot more detail: a network of pipes, several grills and windows, a recessed garage door with a light code, etc.. I have also added an animation of flashing lights and stuff.
However, it is way too large, it still has no shadows (except for those on its surface), and (for Midnight_Carnival) it's pretty shiny.
Critique?

That is much better than before. It's a pretty good level of detail. However, it is not shaded correctly. To sell the idea of a cylinder or cone, you need a continuously changing gradient all around the structure something like this:
Currently it looks flat. (If it is supposed to be reflective, the shading gets more complicated. In that case, do an image search for metal cylinder.) It is also still pixel art, but that is not as big a problem because if you shrink it by 50% it will be smoother.Campaigns: Dead Water,
