garetjax (p1 loyals) over rigor (p2 dwarves). he did an interesting strategy of sneaking about 5 thieves and an ulf down the side, but with illuminating leader and sure handed horses they got wiped out pretty easy. then was a matter of time.

on undertaker's suggestion, leader v leader. for some reason he let me choose to be on a village, however, so ... i won. loyals over elves.

Meet the Dragon hunters:
TBS vs Danniel_BR, Saurian Diviner vs Elvish Legend on Crescent Lake

I started off with a risky night attack with augurs which failed putting me on the back foot for most of the game. The elves began pursing my drakes as they began a fighting retreat to their homeland. Eventually I managed to break it off by giving them my two front villages which I think he let me retake a bit too easily that night with pressure from my leader. At that stage I put aside my frail saurians and massed a drake assault where I managed to get a lot of drakes into range for the next day. The elves decided to fight and I almost got back to even striking the elves on flat. The constant reinforcements told eventually however, the turning point probably being the loss of my almost levelled drake fighter.

With the right lost I needed to win the left to have a chance. I was initially quite outnumbered there, but the elves coudn't do much during the day, and my leader began bringing reinforcements in. I tried to hit the elves on flat again and probably managed to win this flank, but I knew I needed total control over there, giving what was happening on the right, so I took some big chances for this which didn't pay off. So congratulations to Danniel.

EDIT: We are also now half way through the initial 2 week period, and there seem to be a few rather lazy players. There will be whips and cracking over the next few days. If you think you are going to have problems completing your games in the time-frame then I suggest cc'ing me in any PM communication so I can see you are making an effort.

Loser Lieutenant: They took away my EXTRA movement point and gave me 3 hp. 3 hp??? really???
Gweddry the spearman: My commander! That 3 hp may someday save ur life.

( Loser Lieutenant got really really annoyed and ripped out Gweddry's intestines )

Gweddry: ( while dying ) I only spoke the truth, my Lord! May that day come soon enough to help u realise ur mistake! AAAA... why is everything so bla..ck?... ( he dies )

31 turns, GaretJax over Oook, dwarves eventually outlast loyals on HGB. after i routed him on second day, he hung back and was able to get into it until i eventually zerked his lieutenant.

the dwarvish warden made a huge difference here against Oook's legion of heavy infantry. good example of one of the new heroes decisively affecting game.

Hi guys!

Due to some urgent work, I will not be able to play the entire next week, starting Monday. Although, I have finished 6 of my 10 games, I would like to take a break finishing all 10 of them, just in case to not keep anyone waiting for me to show up next week.

ah, the lovely work...motivation and inspiration at one place - i can understand that. at least we STARTED the game already (dont have a pic ready because guess where i am right now? hint: WORK but documentation was already started while we were playing so feel free to post a teaser if u have one too

those comics are so OP!!! wish i could post mine with garet sometime when i can watch it again... in the far future, sometime when birds can dive and lizards rule the skies...

TBS, there will be a review on the games and allowing tweaks to be made for round 2? i hope that will spark some interesting power ups for useless units. perhaps we would have a clear winner for the useless unit like in some other tournament not too long ago...
