Is that the new (blue) version? It doesn't look very blue. Perhaps some red eyes or claws could enhance the contrast on mountains...
You're correct, that's not the blue version. Now that finals are over with, I can return to working on Wesnoth. I had a nearly-finished gaunt, but it still needs a bunch of work.

etc:

Shown as it looks invisible, and visible. Also, if I can pull it off, I'll try and come up with something cooler than the attack frame I had for the shadow.

Its face is too blurry looking, IMO.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

I agree with and third the above. I've seen some pictures of nightish creatures where you don't really see there face...the "hood" thing of their robes kindda covers it. Would that be an option in this case? I'd do something myself to illustrate, but *ahem* it would be butchery, so I shall refrain.

Now here is the operative question - do you mean that the edges of the mask are too blurry, or that the pattern painted on it is too dim?

Frankly, I'm unsure of what pattern to put on it - right now I have two faint, vertical, red lines. Anyone who wants to come up with new patterns can go ahead and do so - they will not affect my animation of the guy, so please be creative.

(though, if you do, please present a copy of the pattern that is not tilted for perspective, because I might have this guy turning for his attack frame)

Is it supposed to be faceless, like those guys from the x-files, or a mask of some sort like Dr. Phibes' henchmen? Those dudes were creepy.

Edit: ok so it will be the same as before. Both the edges and pattern are blurry, but I would sharpen up the pattern just a tad and the [our] left edge more than a tad.

I think this version looks pretty good. It is an improvement over the other image. I like the face being less blurred. The hood just looks kindda tight around its head. Not sure if that could be fixed somehow. Not that it is an overly big deal or anything.

I think the idea behind the edit was good, but the angle of the face is way off, though - the entire body is at a 45° angle, and the face was intended to be so as well.

This edit incorporates the pattern tigrenzo put on the face of his edit.
