It was close, for me... the faction I prefer depends almost totally on my mood. I almost voted Northerners, but picked the last option instead.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.
I don't know if I understand the question correctly, but Loyalists and Drakes are my favourite snack...
Try some Multiplayer Scenarios / Campaigns
none of those except drakes are races... so i guess i'll have to say them, even though i hate them.
OH, wait, you meant factions. In that case, loyalists. see the campaign i made to know why.

I suggest you start another thread about this subject, no reason to hijack threaddott wrote:Just love undead. So sleek and powerful in 0.8.8.
BTW, they need to be toned down. 34 cost for a Wraith. 18 hp Walking Corpses for 5 gp. The new Level 3 melee upgrade. Some balancing is in order!

Advantages and Disadvantages of Each Faction
Loyalists
+The most versatile faction, they can recruit units for almost every situation
+Lawful, and can exploit that by their fast units and units that are resistant even at night
-No units resist cold or fire, and no scouts resist pierce
-Scouts can't enter mountains and have trouble in forest
Rebels
+All units have a ranged attack and powerful upgrades (except Scout)
+Units can usually retreat to Forest in disadvantagous situations
-Hard to deal with tanks
-No tide-turning units (Like Horsemen, Ulfserkers, and Orcish Assassins)
Undead
+Cheap scouts which can control the map pretty well
+A variety of fighting units, from cheap and overpowered through normal cost and overpowered to costly and overpowered. (Corpses, Ghouls, and Ghosts)
-No Impact, Fire or Holy resistance
-All units do less damage for their cost (so you can't assassinate so easily)
Northerners
+The best scout in the game, the best fighter in the game, and the best utility unit in the game
+The cheapest archer in the game, the second cheapest fighter in the game, and the cheapest tank in the game
-Most units have very weak or nonexistent secondary attacks
-Get slaughtered during the day
Knalgans
+The most powerful fighter in the game, the deadliest archer, and the deadliest single unit
+The fastest scout in the game
-All units that move decently are overcosted
-No units have exceptional resistances
Drakes
-All units are either weak to peirce or die quickly anyway
-The healer is so wimpy that it gets killed and can't heal anymore
-The faction name is wrong
-EP doesn't come up with useful strategies for Drakes and post them, on the forum

Yeah .Gafgarion wrote:EP a little biased against Drakes? Who would've thought?!
My addition to Drakes:
+Most of their units fly
+Many of their units have fire attack
+They have Saurians, which have good defense
