In the case we do not have this already...
945. ...you commit suicide to become a Lich and play Wesnoth forever!
946. ...it works.
PS: Oh, I already posted 945. And I was not the first one. At least, they did not mention suicide...

After far too long an absence, I have returned.
According to the quiz 100% Silver Mage (85% Archmage, 75% Shyde, 67% Flameheart and Ancient Wose,58% Assassin, Troll Warrior and Berserker). And my top score is exactly how I see myself.

951...you make a unit of your avatar, since it anyhows sure has the looks, then spend most to all of your wake time trying to make the animations for it perfect.
952...you get the dim trait since you anyways look like a goblin.
953...you think you might've found something out that possibly could be implemented in mainline WML.
954...you take your own life, hoping that a necromancer summons your spirit from the dead. You break free of his control, since you had the strong and intellient traits in your past life. Now you can roam the wesnothian universe infinitely; you're not just only undead, you can also fly.
955...thinking about that you are weak to fire, you consider the possibility that you actually might be a lich with flesh on the bones. Weasnothian humas does not have any weakness to fire anyways.
956...being born a lich, you become sad since an undead unit cannot have traits.
957... to you, it seems that you take turns in everything you do in your life. (that is seroiusly creepy *brrr* , happened to me once, though luckily, I took a wesbreak before it became permanent)
958...you start to wonder if there could be stories told after the events of irdya.
959...you also want to know the story about when the world which Wesnoth lies upon was created.
960...you consider becoming biomechanical as a substitute for becoming a lich, since you can't use magic and death will take away wesnoth from you.

Biomechanical:
Why I use debug, you say? I like the stories, not the actual fighting.

961. You remember vaguely that Becephalus posted the same one on page 13 of the old thread and subsequently trawl the forums to check whether you're right.950. ...you have seen an Dark Adept survive an Berserker attack at 1 hp and 20% defense.
962. And for the sake of completeness,
268. You've seen that happen. (I'm not saying I have.)
High over valleys in the red levelling rays -
In din of crowded streets, going among the years, the faces,
May I still meet my memory in so lonely a place
Between the streams and the red clouds, hearing the curlews, Hearing the horizons endure.

Re: You've been playing Wesnoth too long when...
963. When you've been playing wesnoth for over 8 years
964. When you've been developing wesnoth for over 5 years
965. When you look back on your life and when you contemplate and think why you've missed out onsome important things in your life like getting married or graduating from college one of the first reasons which pops in your mind is .... wesnoth
966. When you get a feeling in your gut that it is really final time to quit playing wesnoth
967. When in your mind you try to make a ceremony of your act of quitting wesnoth
P.S. All of those things apply to myself, seriously

Theoretically, love is great
but it is a little bit different in practice.

(I am only playing one year, but quite intensively. But not marrying and graduating because of Wesnoth is harsh, though it is never too late.)
968. ... you play "Endless Night" until you look out of your window and see the sun rising.
969. ... you deleted the game several times.
970. ... you have 50 campaigns installed but are running out of campaigns to play.
971. ... you have no trouble anymore when playing Infested Caves.
972. ... you could explain your ideas with Wesnoth examples, if only everyone else would play it.

I don't usually post stuff I actually did in this thread, but here goes:
973. In a discussion about God's existence, you say, "It's as if Konrad and Li'sar had an argument about whether David White existed." Seriously, I did that back in 2005 or 2006, when we had that interminable Christians-Atheists debate thread.
974. Your wife starts playing too.
975. Your wife comes up to you and says, "Sweetie, we need to finish our Wesnoth game." Seriously, this happened to me recently.

978. When you've been on the forum for four years, and have no intention of leaving.
Re: You've been playing Wesnoth too long when...
979. When your mum/wife/cousin/brother/sister/aunt/cat sends you to a shop to buy some bread and milk, and then phones you "While you are at the shop, buy some apples," you get stuck and never return. Because you see her order like this:
Code: Select all
[while]
[have_unit]
id=Me
[filter_location]
terrain=Shop
[/filter_location]
[/have_unit]
[do]
[buy]
type=Apple
