Well, just I don't think so, my grandpa used to have hair like this.

Hum......er...well....it just looks a bit strange to me. Though since I'm not an artist I can't really say.

I can't help but feel that the art is awesome, while the original story decision to declare that the party was sitting in the same cave for ages (do they eat at all?) wasn't so well thought out.

@taptap well...I guess you can find stuff to eat in caves. I mean, the dwarves do it. And they probably were able to sneak out now and then.

Deciding what it is they actually do during those long years would be an interesting debate. At the very least, Alanin and his men ought to have been reported M.I.A by the time he shows up at the king's castle, whith a rather cold greeting considering that the guards might not even recognize him at all. Hell; if given the opportunity, I'd completely rewrite the epilogue. Maybe there's a better forum to dscuss this, though.

Either way, such a tweak of the story isn't for me to decide. For now I'll stick to providing the finished artwork, which concludes the series ! Those latest portraits can no be committed.
There had been talks of a dragon, but we do have a decent portrait already and coming up with a better one is a couple of weeks' work at the very least. So maybe later, but I have more on my plate right now

There is a thread about rewriting SoF, though I'm not sure how active it is (last post if from over month ago).

One last thing : I've changed the face and left arm of King Haldric II, whose earlier pose didn't reflect his mood correctly. This new version should better fit the tone of his lines in the Epilogue.

I've gathered the finished portraits on the first page of this thread. The latest pictures can now be committed, and dialog changes made accordingly if it weren't already the case (I'm thinking of the recurring elvish marshall here, among other things)

I will eventually produce a generic fire dragon portrait that can serve for Khrakrahs, but for the time being I'm calling this series concluded !

Congratulations on finishing the series of portraits. These will add a lot to the campaign.

Just wanted to say that the artwork in this thread is so great that I've been lurking around here just so I can watch the new stuff come out. These portraits are awesome, and you should be very proud of your work.

A = added, M = modified; I've committed the following images. All of the others looked unchanged since the batch of work quite a few months ago, but flag me if I missed one.

That's it, everything's correct !
If it's not already done, the only thing left to do will be to wire in the "winter overlay" in relevant maps (this transparent png is meant to add cold breath on Alanin's portraits when required)

Just a small error worthy of notice: Alanin's mid-aged portrait appears on the first post twice, while his oldest mounted variant is not there at all

I noticed this as well, and accounted for it by grabbing the later, "more aged" version from later in the thread. Thanks for pointing this out, this - this could have been something I'd missed.
