I feel to have to agree: Saying that inferno8 is at least one of the best artists here, especially special effects and terrain, is definitly not an understatement.

oh...seems that many people agree that! Well Dave invented this game so he is surely a god no less than Inferno8...but what did shadowmaster do? I dunno him clear. Though compare IftU and AtS with TLU, his campaigns just suck; I didnt say that is not good, actually I like IftU, but they are obviously never to match TLU's toe.

Let me be a bit of heretic...

I didn't like To Lands Unknown. I didn't even finish it. The artwork is spectacular and all, but there's almost no space to move your units, and the maps, as maps, aren't really well-made. If this campaign was a standalone commercial game, people would say "meh, it's just a techdemo". I love nice graphics, but just if the campaign is fun to play, too.

While I fiercely hate the long and slow underground exploration levels, I must admit that I found shadowmaster's campaigns much more enjoyable. They have much better designed maps with battles not taking place always in narrow corridors or homogeneous wastelands. Also (emphasizing that I did not get past the first 5-6 scenarios) I found TLU's recruitable unit set kind of limited compared to IftU or AtS. (By the way, shadowmaster contributed a lot to the game as a developer, but I'm sure he will tune in to tell you that...)
