[Music] A Letter from Lintanir
Several weeks ago, I composed a short piece of music A Letter from Lintanir. I haven't post it to other places except some my friends. This is just a practice of using SSO. I am really interested in the voice.
I named it 'A Letter from Lintanir', but I want a better name. Do you have any suggestions?

It's a good start but I think it has room for improvement. The harp in the background needs some variation and the main melody would sound better with some more expressive woodwinds I think.

Thank you. This is my first try. I will be better if I continue.Sapient wrote:It's a good start but I think it has room for improvement. The harp in the background needs some variation and the main melody would sound better with some more expressive woodwinds I think.

I'm not a compositor but I think that u need to place here some drums and will be very very good.

Sometimes a single battle decides everything and sometimes, too, the slightest circumstance decides the issue of a battle. There is a moment in every battle at which the least manoeuvre is decisive and gives superiority, as one drop of water causes overflow.

I think this piece is not complex enough. Right?

I think what you have is a good base, but it needs something more: *for example* you could progressively add more instruments building up to a climatic point- then finish it off with the beginning simplicity.
Re: [Music] A Letter from Lintanir
Yeah, I would definitely add more instruments. What you have is fine for the beginning, but you song needs to progress more instrumentally as it moves. For instance, you could add a violin ensemble instead of just the solo. Its fine to open with the solo, but you could add the ensemble at some point in your song just to give it a 'bigger' feel. Also I would pan your instruments out to the sides more. They seem to all be coming from directly ahead.Crow_T wrote:you could progressively add more instruments building up to a climatic point
Probably. One suggestion I would give is to not stick to the same instrument for the melody. It bores the listener if the same instrument plays the melody for the entire song.Dugucloud wrote:I think this piece is not complex enough. Right?
BTW, what samples are you using?
