Gnork won game. Elves vs. Trolls and loyalist.
Is it just me or did Powershot lost on purpose? I mean, he did't even bother with taking his villages on the left.
I'm not native english speaker so, please, excuse me for using comma at random.

Forgive me if this is an obvious question, but how is "Pts" score being calculated?

Sapient, points is how many turns it takes to win the game. In this tourney it was decided that if theirs a tie (say two people go 4:1) that the tiebreaker is how soon you win against your opponents meaning the person with less points wins.

Wouldn't this points system disadvantage defenders? :?

yes it does makes you change your gameplan quite a lot (reason i let go of ghoul, well that and lots of ulfs) For example vs Haart I planned on camping a while then throwing a huge grunt army at him however couldn't do that. Anyways in a tourney like this what is another good option? If you do head to head that may not e fair considering someone could have something that hard counters you which is the reason you lost (example if me and Shadow tie)

I don't think so. :hmm:
In order to win, you'll need to attack somehow; the quickest you succeed, the better you are of course.
But if you're going to lose, you'd better defend well so as the winner will get many points 8)

I don't think that's necessarily true Gnork. An example is the elf or dwarf faction. Most people play them defensive and counter attack when they are on good defense so the enemy has to come to them. same could hold true for peoples 2 unit game play. You surely can win if you just counter attack imo.

My opinion on on the whole defender thing is that it doesn't matter so long as you win all your matches

I'm going to be looking to play a match or two around 17:00 GMT. Anyone available to play should meet me on the server. :) I'm going to be away for the weekend, but will be free again on Monday.

EDIT: Well, I'm off to the Wild Lands of Vermont. Probably won't have access to Wesnoth, though I suppose it's possible. :D Weak internet connection in this house if I recall, so....In all likelihood, see you guys Monday.

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NANI! :D :) :D :)
