Re: XVII Century Project : Eastern Europe at War (EEaW)

Post by Sagez »

The new version just went to the BfW servers.

EEaW 1.2 short changelog (mostly balancing changes) :
- new Polish unit - Infamis ;
- Swedish peasant's cost lowered (11->10) ;
- Don Cossack has no armor now, cost lowered to 18 ;
- Tatars have been nerfed a little ;

... and some other minor changes were made. You can expect the next EEaW version soon because right now we are working on the new units (especially for Turks).

Enjoy!

Thank you very much, downloading now!
:)
Edit.
I've found a bug: the Pole Chosen Infantryman cannot advance to lev.2, the following message was displayed:
"game error: Could not find the unit being advanced to: pl Wybraniecki2"
The error is caused by the wrong id: "id=pl Wybraniecki", instead of the correct: "id=pl Wybraniecki2" in the wybraniecki2.cfg file, in this folder: "Eastern_Europe_at_War\units\Polacy".
I noticed another small detail: the Field Hospital's description says that it heals +12, but it cures poison as well.
"Cures" should be added to the description. :)

@ Matt Daka - thanks again, my friend :)

The new version 1.3.1 is out! This EEaW release brings A LOT of stats changes (mostly balancing) and a new unit for Turks - Mehterhane.
The Mehterhane is a janissary who plays the flute, encouraging - more effectively - other Turks to fight 8) Oh, I almost forgot - we have also added a new unit for Cossacks - Cossack Raider - he advances from Sitch Cossack and is a dangerous cavalry unit.

Short changelog:
- Two new units (more to come)
- Russian shooters line have been repainted (they are red like Bolsheviks now :P )
- Several small bugs fixed
- More unit names for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Zaporozhian Cossacks and Tsardom of Russia
- Austrian medic now costs 12 (-2)

Enjoy, and please post your feedback, if you have something to say about EEaW.

The new EEaW version (1.4) just went to the BfW servers.
It contain many nice things... Just look below! :)

Short changelog:
- More unit names for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (Lithuanian names), Crimean Khanate, Habsburg Monarchy, Kingdom of Sweden and Ottoman Empire
- 3 new units for Habsburg Monarchy -> Grenzers! (Svarog1's idea)
- Mehterhane is now called Mehterane and Mehterane (0 level) advances to Mehterane Commander (1 level new unit)
- New image for Janissary Fanatic
- Croatian Rider has been renamed for Light Cavalryman, Croatian Companion -> Cavalry Companion
- ... 3 new camel units for the Ottomans... including epic Camel Artillery! OMFG, it's soo cool!... :o :shock: :augh: 8)

Image :twisted:

I advice you playing EEaW while listening to happy hardcore -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLTwtGfowQ4 (Gunther's famous Ding Ding Dong Song is also appropiated :eng:)

At this time, do NOT expect the next EEaW version soon... holidays are almost over, you know...
Take care and enjoy!

Nice news and thanks for the new additions!
P.S.
I played with a friend EEaW against 2 AI in Isar's Cross, I hosted the game and he had a lot of OOS errors. :hmm:
His EEaW and mine were updated.
This happened other times.
Maybe there is a bug creating OOS errors when playing with EEaW against AI.

EEaW version 1.4.1 is now available on both servers. Now everything should be fine, problems with the AI are probably solved.
Have fun!

Sorry but I can't see the 1.4.1 in the 1.8.6 add-on server.
Just 1.4
Maybe you forgot to write the .1?

Thanks, I downloaded it.
:)
Edit: the OOS issue is still present when playing with other human players against AI (the human had the last EEaW version). :?
If I play alone against AI no OOS at all.

Love the mod, but why the Ottomans don't get the Organ Gun?

Well, we wanted to keep every nation unique - this means that we tried to not give the same unit to them. If there was a must to do so (artillery, ships, medics etc) we changed their stats so healing units from Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, Crimea and Austria (und so weiter 8) ) are not the same (it would be lame).

PS Ottomans have plenty of units, it's already enough, enough for them! ^_^

Hello:

Again, EEaW has a problem that prevents it from being translated: units.cfg isn't in UTF-8. I have attached a copy in UTF-8.
