Since the units I would use depend on the situation, my favourite would either have to be the most versatile or the coolest-looking, and I'm not actually sure what the most versatile unit is (or how you'd go about determining it). So probably Ghosts or Peasants.

I generally like Walking Corpses, Vampire Bats and Falcons.

My favorite unit is the Black Knight. I always liked this knight.

The Saurian Skirmisher line, of course, but I can't exactly pinpoint which one is the best :D

In terms of visuals, I prefer the pre-1.2 ones.
