Once a Lich reaches this point, it can leave most of its human bones behind, and begin to incorporate parts of other creatures.
So we could reuse parts from other units :

Uh, that's not what the lore means. The point of what was written is to provide an explanation for the sprite's size and why it's a different sprite from a normal lich. It does not invite one to literally start cutting up graphical representations of other creatures to piece together a frankensprite, because that doesn't offer the same graphical advantage that Sleepwalker's custom sprite does. Besides, a lich wouldn't have fleshy tentacles.

Looks like an all-around winner to me. :D Personally, I prefer it if he had a bit less hunch, but given that he's an 'ancient' lich, it fits the character of the unit.

Nice work!

At the risk of a developer's reprimand, I have to say that the bent posture and what appears to be a leather handbag by its side at first gave me the impression of a skeletal grandma.

Eh... and then I tried to draft something, but it's pretty bad. Certainly not epic enough for an Ancient Lich. Anyway:

EDIT: actually, I don't even know why I posted that, it's awful. But I'll leave it there regardless.

Well, I was going to start with a lich that was very frail physically and somewhat broken and them embellish it and embellish it in an attempt to portray that he's just a creation of his own magic. But I was bored before I got even halfway to the first step.

Also, please note that it's just a sketch - I didn't intend for it to look like a finished graphic. I'm not that poor an artist.

Sleepwalker: I think you've cracked that as a generic lich. Stick some animations together and we'll get him committed. I stand by my earlier suggestion of one basic animation with a variety of haloes for different effects, to simplify the potential extra ALs that we might be getting.

I've had an idea since two months ago...(wasn't registered yet back then)

Drakes use magic to control fire, right? :hmm:
Aand if that is the case, shouldn't drakes be able to learn other types of magic? Like, in this case, necromancy.
And if drakes could learn necromancy there would naturally be drake ancient liches/liches, right?
I can't post attachments yet, (that's what my conclusion is anyways...) so the drake-lich (recouloured, edited frank) is my avatar :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, and if so, please with great detail. (like a lesson)

EDIT:It's missing a shadow! :augh:
Why I use debug, you say? I like the stories, not the actual fighting.

No, they don't.
But a lich could in theory switch his bones as i have read in this post to become more, in this case, drake-like.

But is he/she bound to his/her original skull?
