Hmm... what would Gambit's motive be? Ambition frustrated after being made Forum Lord then having the position taken back from him perhaps?

@atomicbomb: I've added more quotes.

edit :
Sapient wrote:* Neoriceisgood dresses the new Troll sprite in a tutu
* BIG_LIZARD_PWNZ challenges various persons to duels
* Cuyo Quiz develops the talent of getting any thread locked with a single post
* JW loses his peanut butter
Please elaborate.

As far as the peanut butter thing goes, we were once having a rather serious discussion IIRC and JW makes a post:
Did I leave my peanut butter in here? :hmm:
And everyone is just like lolwut?

Don't know about that, but there was also a rather stupid (IIRC) forum thread, that got a silly first reply and then the JW post.

I apologize in advance if I'm asking too many questions, but I'd still like to know about "Cuyo Quiz develops the talent of getting any thread locked with a single post."

@Gambit: Some questions about Gambot (I hope this isn't secret information I'm not allowed to know):
  • What does it do exactly?
  • Can more than one exist at a time?
  • If it were a unit, would it be more of a scout or a fighter?
Also, what, if any, is the significance of your tie change?

Oh no it's certainly not secret. In fact anyone can see/use it by following the IRC link in my signature. And in the spirit of the community it was developed for, most of the source is available under GPL.
Gambot info/history:
I guess it'd be a scout since its main job is to gather information.

The tie is no biggie. I just change the color to match the color of my user name (being the trendy, tasteful guy I am ;) ). Though back when I actually switched to the tie it was to signify that I was going to be more serious and well behaved from then on.

The Off-Topic (and to a lesser extent User Forum) would occasionally get a very heated/divisive topic and seemingly no end in sight and yet no violations of posting rules sufficient to get it locked either. Cuyo Quiz became a sort of Off-Topic hero because he would perform a mercy killing on the thread by posting something so utterly silly, ridiculous, and off-topic that the moderators would immediately lock the thread upon reading his outrageous post. His was a secret art that may be best left to history though.

Someone needs to make an auto-pruner with humour detecting function. When was auto-pruning used?

More quotes added.

Also, Irdya was formerly known as Taera.

Auto-pruning was used in the Off-topic forum until 22 July 2010, when shadowmaster disabled it. That unit used to swallow, absorb and drain every thread that received no replies for 30 days (if I remember correctly). :P
shadowmaster wrote:Citation needed. I am certain this never made it to mainline, unlike Irdya.
Well, a search showed me that Taera was originally proposed by irrevenant. There was also another thread where such name was used, but it's true that this name never went in mainline. :)
Current maintainer of these add-ons, all on 1.16:
The Sojournings of Grog, Children of Dragons, A Rough Life, Wesnoth Lua Pack, The White Troll (co-author)
