That's because the art hasn't been updated yet.

I was bored, and made an energy shield animation. I don't get why the white stuff appears. It isn't in the frames.
Not sure if the shield would be separate like the laser blasts.

There should be other movement than just the arm. Also the arm is terribly short at the final frame.

I know, but any longer and it would leave the hex.

Flamelash, while I can understand someone not liking my sprites for x reason, I do not understand someone wasting their efforts making them worse. You are better off not making useless work for yourself just for the sake of universal greenness. Several of these sprites are much better than TWoT's standard now. I would rather you not use them than butcher them. But, alas if you are stubborn, there is now way for me to stop you. I would like you to either use my art, or not use it. Perhaps Telaron feels the same?

Animations can be larger than 72x72, although I'm not sure how it works WML-wise.

Animations and base frames can exceed the hex. It doesn't need any special WML, the onlny thing you need to ensure is that the picture is centred in the frame - start in 72x72, and however much you go out on one side, go out the same distance on the other.

Very well put. Fog, I have to say, just one shade of green (It looks that way with such low contrast) will definitely not cut it. Not to mention, I'm nearly done this sprite anyway so there's no need for you to recolor it. Some of the other sprites in TWoT do need a redo however. Contact Dragonchampion and ask him. :)

A tank I'm working on. (Man, shading this thing is rather difficult.)

Yeah, shading things like tanks really is a pain in the neck.

I think one of the big problems is, your lighting direction on the top, swivelling bit (don't know the right term) seems to be coming from the left, if you look at the pillow-like bits*.

Also, the contrast is rather small, you could do with some lighter shading down the middle and the end of the turret seems slightly off-centre.

* Not actually saying it's pillow shaded here.

Shading: It's not pillowed, but it does seem to have another common problem - you're using all the possible shades on each distinct area, where quite a lot of areas should be one flat colour with outlines, and some definitely shouldn't have highlights. Particularly with mechanical things, getting the overall lighting of the shape correct is tremendously important, because if a panel has light hitting it which shouldn't, it's a lot more obvious.

You do realize that I did not do the green recolor, right?

Yeah, I knew. Sorry if I made it sound like I didn't. :)
