Re: Zombie Apocalypse RPG(Beta Testing) 0.0.6
Still slowly moving through...
I just entered the underground lab, and got attacked by a horde of tougher zombies.
BTW, what are the four runes in the sewers for? I tried putting one commando on each, but it did nothing. Is it something to be revealed later, or did I miss something?

They teleport you to the last boss of the game later on.Captain_Wrathbow wrote:Still slowly moving through...

If you ever reach that part, remember to make all characters step on the runes in the same turn, else they are very likely to die.
So far you are the one who has progressed the most, I haven't got past the third boss, right before the lab.
I haven't heard of anybody else having made it that far either in a normal game.

Not at all, the last time you go to the surface you will have to combat hordes of undead. They shouldn't be that difficult though(read "not impossible").Mabuse wrote:the only thing i hope for is that there is some kind of "artificial" spawn limit
if it is there it is fine
What a complicated guy, first he wants action, and then he hopes there are limits to the action.

...really? You haven't even gotten to the end of your own addon? ...sorry, it just kinda surprised me...PapaSmurfReloaded wrote:So far you are the one who has progressed the most, I haven't got past the third boss, right before the lab.
I thought everyone else had beaten it already and I was slowpoking behind. XD

Content-creators rarely play their own creations.Captain_Wrathbow wrote:...really? You haven't even gotten to the end of your own addon? ...sorry, it just kinda surprised me...

The best bet is your own, good Taste.

Well, remember that the rest of us have to contend with constantly breaking savegames. I've lost my progress 3 times
Anyway, kudos for reaching the underground lab; I always run out of time before I can get there.

I don't know what causes save games to be corrupt, I haven't really looked into either.
Taking days off.

I've never encountered the corrupted savegames issue. I can load auto-saves and normal saves just fine.

That's interesting.Captain_Wrathbow wrote:I've never encountered the corrupted savegames issue. I can load auto-saves and normal saves just fine.
To some people, saves always get corrupted, to me it happens in about 70% of the cases.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse RPG(Beta Testing) 0.0.6
Yeah... that's the real reason I've managed to get further than anyone else.
Re: Zombie Apocalypse RPG(Beta Testing) 0.0.6
You are marked by destiny to defeat the zombie horde
Re: Zombie Apocalypse RPG(Beta Testing) 0.0.6
absolutely untrue, btw.PapaSmurfReloaded wrote: Content-creators rarely play their own creations.
every add-on i worked on, i loved to play for myself.
thats why i spend time to make more stuff for it.
for me it sounds strange that a content-maker dont like to play his creation.
although that may explain some things
playing it is 100% nessessary to understand the game-mechanics and how the game actually feels when its played.
if you (the creator) dont like it to play then something is wrong with it.
the only reason why i dont play 24/7 SXRPG is:
- that i give work of other people a try
- lack of time
- im actually working to improve it
- i need a break from sx and play regular wesnoth (or ... see point 1)
just wanted to point this out.
The best bet is your own, good Taste.

The fact you do it doesn't make it's "absolutely untrue".Mabuse wrote:absolutely untrue, btw.

In general, it is that way, everywhere, not only Wesnoth, it isn't really fun to play your own creations.
There is no excitement nor fun in it, at least in RPGs, normal maps are ok though, it's just about killing the enemy.
Meh, I don't know since they aren't exactly alike, the Zombie Horde isn't an RPG.Araja wrote:You are marked by destiny to defeat the zombie horde
Though PK seemed to think like you.
Time ago he sent me a PM "offering" me drop to Zombie Apocalypse(which after 3 weeks of work it was halfways done) and join his Zombie Horde, which had been dead for a year already.
PsychoticKittens wrote:As you might note. Zombie Horde might be what you're looking for.
I personally can't really do Zombie Horde by myself due to the sheer size, and the amount of code it needs.
Just giving the offer to jump on this project and help with it, instead of doing a different one. I admit I'm not sure if ZH will lag people do to it's size, but I'm trying to cut down the lag with some stuff. And your project might get done alot faster. But I think ZH being done, and making a completely different game out of wesnoth, just might pull afew more eyes. No offense. Course, I already plan on this taking a year or two. Or more.
