New version of Haldric II... He got a completely new crown in the process - more tiara-ish.
If he's finished now, I'm through with my list of single missing portraits and would start with a set for Liberty (Anybody knows who the maintainer is?).

LordBob: Thank you for the armour references! Great stuff! Haldric got a new pauldron after those inspirations.
Groovy: Thanks for the oh-so-helpful illustration

 great portrait!

EDIT: his right hand looks as if he has only 3 fingers, like in some comics... either minor issue or maybe easy fix.

I don't see any problems with an elf-woman hitting somebody with a mace...

I see 5 fingers, but IMO the pinky is too little...

This portrait has a lot going for it: the costuming, face, and lighting are all very interesting and well done. I like it.

I believe zookeeper is the current maintainer of Liberty.

Haldric II is looking fantastic. I'm getting a definite Inigo Montoya vibe, which can only be a good thing. ;-)

Hahaha, can we sneak a "You killed my father" reference into the campaign dialogue anywhere? I'm pretty sure his father got killed by someone or other.

This portrait very much reminds me of Prince Caspian, but I think it looks very good and I like it a lot.

I'm finally admitting that this will be a very long (if not permanent) Wesbreak. Thank y'all for the great times, and may Wesnoth rise to become one of the most popular games on the planet.

That's because the movie version of Prince Caspian was based on Inigo Montoya. The actor outright said so.

And yes, I also get that impression from the portrait, but I think it's awesome. It's definitely not a straight copy or anything like that.

Keanu Reeves, Inigo Montoya and Prince Caspian? That's certainly a wide sortiment of actors/characters :lol2:
But prince caspian was indeed part of my inspiration folder for Haldric. Guilty as charged :P

Before starting with Liberty I remembered that esr still had some portraits on his wishlist for DM - so here is Leollyn, a friendly, trustworthy, middle aged mage and advisor to the king:

 Simply Outstanding. How you manage your wizards never ceases to amaze me.

Only nitpick I could come up with is the upper folds of his scarf (for want of a better word), which could easily be mistaken for a set of rather high and narrow shoulders (see paintover). You might want to rework it so that it doesn't confuse the curve of the shoulders.

It looks good to me. It's an extra ( large, baggy ) layer over his robe that folds over itself.

I too see the issue lordbob is describing, but I would think it would be a very quick and easy fix (just change the curve of the fabric slightly)
