underground pool

Well. I'm playing this now, and I've lost all my level 2 units and has only 250 gold. It's impossible to win!
Has anybody won this scenario?
Angband, the ultimate FPS game!

um... what campaign?

there is no scenario called underground pool AFAIK...
For I am Turin Turambar - Master of Doom, by doom mastered. On permanent Wesbreak. Will not respond to private messages. Sorry!

Yes, don't bother with level 2's here...

You need to have Gwiti as a demi-lich, he'll just stomp his way through the scenario! I don't think it's a particularly exciting or balanced scenario, btw. In the version I was playing, there were no extra scenarios after this one (which _might_ be an error with that version of TDH), so if you get fed up you might as well end playing TDH.

Well, there are a lot of mean dwarf berserks, and they always kills Gwiti :-(
So I guess I'll have to continue to try...

Easy and so less money ??? :roll:

Mmmmmmm... maybe you should try to get more gold through the whole campaign...you can easily be in that level with more than 500 gold ...

well, I'm doing something wrong. I have a level 4 ancient lich, but it get's slaughtered and if I reqruite many units, I run out of time.

Advance Gwiti to Level 3. Put Gwiti in Village. Berserks attack Gwiti. Gwiti drains HP. Gwiti comes out with more hp than he started with. March onwards and kick more ass.

The spider is the only real danger there, IMO.

Yep, it's straightforward with a little care. I used a Wraith to fly ahead - with it's wide vision range I was able to see the zerkers coming. If things looked rough (ie two zerkers!) I moved the wraith back behind the other units. I also used a couple of liches. When one is damaged I move the other one forward. As previously mentioned a lich (even better, Level 4 Gwiti) parked in a village just murders zerkers because of the defensive bonus and drain.
