I don't understand what you mean...

And here's a new sprite.

The helmet's meant to be a bit like this:

The helm's not bad, actually, though it needs brighter highlights. However, it looks like a different design. The one you linked to is pointed at the front.

The rest of the armour is a little iffy, however.

Yeah, the helmet isn't really much like that. But I meant it to be non-pointy, because pointyness looks horrible imo.
Anyway, photobucket is down for some stupid maintance, so I can't upload the edit I did. :x

EDIT: And about the other armor, how's it "iffy"? Because it doesn't have those bending things in the joints? Or is it the shading? Or something?

Why not upload to the forum?

By 'iffy' I mean it doesn;t look like armour, it looks like semi-random blobs in the shape of a human.

Here's a better lighted helmet.

Anyway, I'm starting to make Liches. Just for fun, mostly, because I can't make anything good enough for mainline. I might add to the campaign I've been making for... Ages. Well, it crashed because even the few wml people I asked didn't seem to know the reason it doesn't work. :( But maybe someday, I get it to work again, and then... It'll be so awesome.

ANYWAY. Here's the Lich. Ancient Lich or something. C&C welcome.
Image

EDIT:
Here's a new lich.
Image
A bit too much fire maybe, but well. It's meant to be a fire Lich. Though, I have to ask: Can undead use fire? I mean, they're always cold and stuff, but... I don't really see why, because wouldn't you WANT to be close to fire if you'd been dead so long you'd only have bones left? :?

And a random slasher undead or something.
Image

EDIT 2:
I just... I... I'm really shocked, but I noticed I don't have the campaign anymore. I accidentally deleted it, when I cleaned lots of stuff from my computer. :x
I.. I have to...
Somehow, start again...

About the Lich: At first glance, I get the impression that the arm on our right is rather straight. Too straight in my opinion. Also, try putting more shades of color in his cloak.

Don't worry about mainline. I think your stuff is good enough for user made content now. Actually more than good enough. Keep up and do not call me old again!

I would say: the neck is a bit long, the skull is kinda diform, and it is stepping on its cloak with its back legs (move the cloak's inside's back a few pixels). Also, what Telaron said. I like the cloak's inside's texture, though, and the staff ain't too bad.

I think that they are good, but a little bit big. I love the Lich of the Fire :DDDD.

woodmouse, can you give me the sprites you did for the mudcrawler? I don't mind if it don't have all the animations, the creature is cool.
I pretend to use it in my campaing, if you don't mind.

I'm always stunned of how people try to force other people to finish and change stuff... I see it every day in every art thread, and I'm getting pretty disgusted. And all the "This isn't democracy" things is like declaring all the art people as fascists. I'm kinda glad my art's never been included in Wesnoth, even though like half a year ago that was my biggest goal.
Although I don't have anything against 90-95% of all the people on this forum, some (I'm not saying any) are always just generally mean towards other people, and I could say that it's because they've gotten more "honored" here. And no, I don't mean TSI, Kitty, Zero, Artisticdude or any of the nice art people...

But seriously, this isn't the only forum that does that, or the only anything, so I'm not angry towards the moderators and art contributors generally. It's just that I don't understand why would EVERYTHING need to be used somewhere... Would there be a difference if people posted their non-mainline (and sometimes non-umc) stuff in off topic or something? Wouldn't they then start pushing them to finish the things, even if the people who made the art would consider it finished? Also, where's the freedom of style? I understand it for mainline, but for UMC?

And why're people just generally getting meaner? Is it because the first thing they see is "You suck, go play with the barbie house" or something, just disguised into conscructive criticism?
(well, this doesn't happen all the time, but you know what I mean)

I post in this thread because if I'd post a new thread, I'd probably be banned...

People push you to improve because they think you want to. If you post saying something's finished and you're not interested in making changes or seeing it used, people should take you at your word. But if you're not interested in improving something, or seeing your work used, why are you posting it here?

Yes, you could post in the off-topic user art thread if you wanted to.

I wasn't talking about only myself, though.
And I'm interested in improving, but I don't know if I want to improve strictly into the Wesnoth direction. I mean, I'm kinda afraid that if I'd someday finally be able to make good Wesnoth sprites, I'm not able to make anything else anymore. And I make so many other things, that if I'd lose the skills to make other pixel art, or album covers and logos, it'd be horrible.
