Aww come on, that wasn't needed. If your going to post, at least do so constructively...

@Skater-girl, you've gone a bit out of canon drakes with that portrait. Also look at your sketch and then at LordBob's or thespaceinvaders's. Notice a difference?

I was like you at first, thinking all my stuff was amazing when in reality it was absolute rubbish. It took a while, but eventually people managed to drill into me that I need to practice. You need to practice. Like (was it Jetrel?) said, everyone was at this stage at one point (I still am!), but they kept on practising. I wish you luck, but until your significantly better, contributing to mainline will only hurt your ego :P

Wow....That was extremely mean.... Sorry. :? But yeh take Unnheulu's advice. Practice does make perfect. For some longer than others but you definitely have to study and notice your faults followed by working from them to improving from them. I also used to be completely rubbish at drawing but you have to start somewhere. Mainline is probably not the best place to start. :D If you want art advice you should probably go to the art workshop and try some stuff out there to get some constructive criticism. Oh yeh, and don't let things put you down like idiots being totally rude by commenting on your age. :P

Phyreprooph, remember, we do have people on the forums that don't have English as a first language, so it might be that, you know. That said, Unnheulu, did you just use your instead of you're? Oh dear...How old are you? (JK, okay, now I'm done)

On-Topic, I think that if you REALLY want to contribute to the game, I think you should start with learning drawing on the computer (or if you already know, start re-doing portraits on the computer).

Hula: learning to draw first is more important, and that is much, MUCH easier on paper. Learn to work digitally when you know how to draw.
