When you're on the last scenario in the Sceptre of Fire and the objective say "Kill all elves before one of them escapes from the cave" (or something similiar) and you have already killed all the elves?

But I used my brain and went back a few turns and saved an elf to kill.
I think they should so something about this tho O_o

No, I mean.
I've killed all the elves before I stepped on the glyph. So after I've stepped on the glyph it tells me to kill all remaining elves before they escape, but they're already dead.

Slowly, more lava chasms will appear, until eventually the volcano erupts.
