Lvl 3 Chocobone

hey guys, i thought it would be cool to have a lvl3 chocobone sprite.
the style of the lvl2 could/should be kept

in essence some minor changes and a bit bigger.
(no animations needed)

any volunteers ? :)

Here you go. If you scale units up, set it to no interpolation.
As big as it can get. And an extra thing on the shield. have fun. I would recommend to use the lvl 2 animations.

after some thoughts i think it wouldnt be so good if everyone does this.

from now on i will point my requests a tet directly :lol2: , he seems to make a good job wiith it.
also, the stuff wil be surely put to good use.

hey thx. i see the choco is bigger now and the shield is edited, for some variation i would like to see the CREST (and the head of the mount) a bit edited too. would be great

Well you are lucky. I worked at it during this week. See if you like it.
Get Gimp and try youself, too. It is easy. The crest is good to start editing.

And please post your unit cfg here.

Hahaha, it's really not a big deal, but the shield looks like it has a team-colored "3" on it, like the sprite actually knew it has lv3 and was saying "Lookit you guys, I'm Lv3 now! So proud!"

Made me laugh :P

Otherwise goodjob for the sprite, I think ;)

Hey. It is a team colored 3! I made the first scale up in 10 sec and wanted to add something distinct. When I reworked it, I just wanted to make it more visual.

I could not resist the request. If never been requested as artist before.
I edited the crest to two asterix typ wings and gave the bird to horns.
I tried a centurio looking helmet, too.

I would really like to test them ingame so please post the cfg.
The only trouble is: I allready hate fighting lvl2 chocos. Lvl3 must be even worse.

I can't help so much, but I got an idea of an evil red eye from the chocbone and from the skeleton.

I will just say that I dont really like the mohawk thingy on his helmet and I think the horns are better but thats just my input do whatever you want :)

I dont like much the horns helment version, I preffer this one.

But it need a more sharpening spear to like a lv3 weapon instead of a lv2 weapon.

Well... look my enchanted version, the spear is a bit more sharper. I added the red eyes detail and some stuff in the spear and a bit in a Chocobones leg.

sorry people i didnt look intto this thread recently, i just noticed this one right now.

hey tet, good effort.
btw, of course i have a spriteeditor - called pixeleditor ;)
the "3" on the shield was ajoke right ;)

the problem is that im not too good at spriting, also i do some other stuff in the meanwhile
(like mapping, coding, unit.cfging , new terraining - all the stuff you need t do when you make a map ;))

sometimes i feel like frankensteineing a bit, and of course i will use some of my frankensteins also, however, i didnt feel like putting a draug head on the chocobone would make it a good looking lvl3.

i just thought "well i still need some bosses ....."
